Piazza Armerina
Set in beautiful countryside less than 1km from Piazza Armerina, Villa Trigona is an 18th-century building with large gardens, where you can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and numerous sports.
Once home to Sicilian nobles, Villa Trigona’s elegant rooms and lounges still contain antiques. Rooms have lovely countryside views and on site you will find a lounge with an old fireplace, a small library and a TV room.
Wonderful kitchen. Honest local food.
Piazza Armerina
Offering a garden and city view, La Casa Rossa Country House is situated in Piazza Armerina, 37 km from Sicilia Outlet Village and 6.9 km from Villa Romana del Casale. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a family-friendly restaurant and a sun terrace. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service.
We actually booked here but ended up staying down the road at the owner's father's guest house - la Casa Sulla Collina D'Oro. It was great - wonderful views of the Cathedral, a plentiful sweet and savoury breakfast, quiet room, housekeeping and parking on the property. The two properties seem to tag team and deal with spillovers from one to the other. Our host Luciano was kind and generous. You do need a car as it is about 2km from town but with safe parking at the guest house and free parking right by the old town it was one of our easiest Sicilian road trip stops.
Piazza Armerina

The breakfast was a lovely buffet. We also ate dinner there each night.
