Old fashioned apartment at farm, but very nice and extremely comfortable, the bed is the best one I ever slept on. Great value for reasonable price! And hosts are also very nice, provided us with bottle of wine and olive oil for cooking and even with eggs when we asked to buy some from their chickens for breakfast. Real gem!

We spent a peaceful night without any noise or anything that could disturb our sleep. The area around the hotel is very pleasant and picturesque, from the swimming pool, to the gardens, to the small river that runs past the main building. The breakfast was well above our expectations and the lady who welcomed us in the room was extraordinary, giving us suggestions of places to visit in the city. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the pool was amazing - just what was needed after a day out exploring Tuscany. We used the train from Certaldo to reach a number of towns - San Gimgnano, Siena - and Certaldo Alta (the old town) was one of our favourite places. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and kind, and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. It was a lovely, quiet, private property, and we can't wait to go back.

The garden is so peaceful and pretty, day or night, but the pool is the icing on the cake! A real touch of luxury. Communication with the host was excellent too - Anna was approachable and helpful (and let us check in early), and Michele who met us with the keys was lovely and friendly. He managed to give us a tour and show us how everything worked despite our lack of Italian! A heavenly place to stay.
