We really loved our stay at Cregg Castle ,, So relaxed and kids had a blast playing hide and seek and exploring the castle . The shared Kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed to cook, Alan was great host and very accommodating . Just a really cool chilled place to go , leave the kids run wild and explore , we had a lovely walk up to the graveyard mighty excitement as there was cows in the field . We will be going back !!

The owners, Ann and Pat, were so nice and welcoming to us and supplied us with everything we needed. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The accomodation is located in a peaceful and quiet place, just a few steps away from the beach and a few more kilometers from Galway and Rossaveel, from where you can take the ferry to the Aran Islands. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend Waterside Cottage to anyone wanting to get away from the hub bub of modern day life! The greenway walk at Ballinahinch is worth a look and views of the mountains in the area are amazing. Beautiful Gurteen and Dogs Bay for paddling/swimming are close by and Roundstone is a friendly village with shops and restaurants 15 minutes drive away.

From the location to the beautiful surrounding and setting in general. 5 minute spin into Gort. A busy town with everything you could possible need but far away that you are completely in the countryside. So peaceful and quiet. The house itself is so comfortable and homely. Beautifully decorated and clean rooms. I just knew the host put so much love into the house. Plan on staying here again with a group of friends soon. Highly recommend! 😊FFionaIreland
