Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. Ailwee Cave, also featuring an underground river and a waterfall, is only 3km from the property.

The house was very cosy, the furniture antique and the staff very kind and friendly. 10/10 would reccomend.
With free WiFi, this country house features a cable TV and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and microwave. Towels and bed linen are offered in the country house. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
Quiet and peaceful property that offered best place to stay the night. The room/bed was comfortable and bathroom was also great.
The property was little bit difficult to get to at night (which was warned). I arrived at the property around 8pm and it was quite a challenging to rely on Google maps. But the instruction received from Helen really helped me here.
Susan was still at the property when we arrived, so she showed us in and acquainted us with the property. She also gave us recommendations for where to eat in town, and even helped us get a cab to town! She was super helpful and friendly! Because the property is not in a town, it was so quiet, so peaceful.
The house is a hidden gem, in the countryside at the bottom of a private road . Secluded,so very quiet and peaceful, and probably impossible to find without directions from the owner. Beautiful views over the Burren from the front bedroom.
Beautifully situated in the heart of the Burren countryside. The staff are very friendly, positively relaxed and accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Lovely details can be found in all rooms and also in the outside area. Very peaceful. Very neat. And highly recommended.
The location was beautiful. We also liked the hotel on the whole. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The location of our room was very quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean.
great breakfast choices, really tasty and cooked to perfection. The hosts were very friendly and attentive, the rooms kept very clean, bottled water replaced daily, fresh flower in a vase a nice touch. Parking easy ,either in the grounds or on the road beside. The lodge is on a quiet road, very peaceful but within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. Ballyvaughan is a picturesque village on the edge of the Burren well worth visiting.
Wolfgang and Maria are very nice people and very helpful i would recommend staying here 100%, The Waters is clean comfortable and just remote enough where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Great place to base yourself for a few days if you're going off exploring the nearby attractions
No check in, got a txt to let me know where key was so no waiting around . Lovely layout, apartments around court yard. Very quiet and peaceful. Even though area was remote, very central for Ailwee caves and Burren etc.
