Everything!!! From a very warm welcome from the owners, who upgraded our stay before we had even arrived, to the superb breakfast. The building was warm and inviting, the room beautifully clean and cosy. The slightly sloping floor added some jollity to the stay. The open fire in the bar was lovely and added to the cosy atmosphere. The bar was busy with locals who were enjoying having a well stocked and friendly pub nearby. We will definitely be going back at the earliest opportunity.

Well presented and styled, welcoming; flowers on the table, provisions in the kitchen, bread, milk, butter... Well kitted kitchen, comfortable living room and bedroom. It had everything we could possibly need and we all found it very comfortable. The best place we have stayed in Hay yet (out of 6 different accomodations). I would highly recommend this accomodation, it is great value for money.

It was really very quiet and peaceful, with no TV, which suited us fine - there were lots of books to browse. Parking right outside the property, and everything we needed for a lovely stay inside. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow and the owner was in contact to check we were settling in. It was very convenient for Hay town centre , bookshops and cafes less than 5 minutes from the house - it was exactly what we had been looking for.

Lovely and quiet and great to hear the sound of the birds. Beautiful surrounding countryside. We were lucky to have great weather although not quite warm enough to sit on the veranda.

You can walk from the property to the town and access a wide range of bookshops, antique shops and places to eat. Inside the cabin was more luxurious than we expected. We arrived during a heatwave but the cabin stayed remarkably cool - the owner told us this was because it was isolated with sheep wool.
