The location was ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, with easy access to roads, trails and lakes. Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts. We had a lovely stay at Rydal lodge. It was the perfect little getaway! Mark and Helena went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, giving us advice on where to eat and walk. Our room was comfortable and cosy. The gardens and surrounding area was beautiful, with easy access to Rydal lake. Couldn't recommend enough!

Nice building and rooms, rooms are big and spacious. Good heating is provided in both the bedroom and bathroom. A very good breakfast was provided and the portion was big. The surroundings of the hotel and the views are very beautiful, very quiet at night. The manager Tom is very good and helpful. Highly recommend this guest house which is totally different from other hotels.
