Our room was large, quiet and nice bathroom with a shower and bath. Breakfast was included with plenty of freshly made options. We had two evening meals served in the large bar, good pub grub cooked to order. Our two night stay was our 45th wedding anniversary and we looked for somewhere not far away that we had not been to. We enjoyed our stay very much and will go again.

House itself was quirky and interesting with its nooks and crannies. Bedroom (room 7) has been kept within the time regarding decor etc. The frieze in the bathroom above the window was original and view to the garden was lovely. Everyone was welcoming, especially Bailey the spaniel ! Food great. Read a lot of people who mentioned the WiFi and phone signal. Who cares in a place like that ! Should be expected. The location nestled in the hills is wonderful, the quiet, the gardens! Roz, Rocky, Bailey, Chris and the whole team are like one big welcoming family. Breakfast is great as is the food generally. The rooms are lovely and bed's comfortable. The building is magical, some parts so ancient. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Thank you for having us!

We never needed to go out. We did, so near to other sights and sea locations. We will be back booked August 2022.

However, the setting is lovely, the old house has lots of character, albeit rather tired. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and there was a communal atmosphere with the staff and guests. There is no phone signal in this area (I didn’t get any for miles), there is free wifi in the bar which worked fine, but nothing in the room. So if you’re looking for a value for money stay in a friendly and lovely quiet location, this is a great choice.
