Jon the owner was sitting in his tranquil garden when we arrived. The first thing he did was offer a delicious fig from his tree. It was a great welcome. We felt privileged to be staying there as generations of his family had lived in this traditional Basque house since the 1700's .....amazing. Our room was large and comfortable with a lovely sunny aspect. We loved it. Slightly off the beaten track but great for cycling into Bilbao and surrounding areas.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and the owners Anna and Joseph were fantastic - very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home in their house. The breakfasts and home cooked dinner were delicious. The rooms were very comfortable and the pool and garden is very nice. Our hosts couldn't do enough for us, even taking one of us to the hospital the morning of check-out! We had a wonderful time.

Great views!!! Rustic cozy atmosphere. Close to nature and wildlife. Very friendly and helpful owners. Just a few minutes car ride to many beaches and rock climbing. Even possible by bike or walking! Easy to visit downtown Bilbao by metro from Urduliz Station. Perfect for day trips to different parts of Basque Country.

Stayed at El Tejado de Santa Ana for a weekend getaway with friends. The property greatly exceeded our expectations. Cristina was incredibly welcoming and lovely and continuously made our stay comfortable. Made you feel at home. Weather was very nice so had breakfast in the garden both days. Even if the property was full, we did not hear a thing from other guests. We would have stayed there for longer if we could have, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Bilbao and its surrounding area.
