The food served is creative, experimental and also feels like a home cooked meal from grandmother. The views off the finca into the valley are amazing. There are also hiking trails. We saw coatis and hummingbirds and other birds such as oropendolas. Best to have a 4WD. Costa Ricans also spend their holidays here.

The breakfasts were exceptional, huge portions (great for keeping us going during our hikes around Orosi!). The chalets themselves were clean and comfortable, perfect for a short stay.

You are only driving some kilometres, but you will feel far away from everything. The hut is clean and super comfortable, there is everything you will need in the kitchen. Expect to sit on the terrace in the evening and enjoy the lovely sounds of the night. David helped me a lot with everything, he is living on the ground, he even took me up from Orosi as I had no car.
