I couldn’t think of a more kind host than Nam! He is absolutely one of the most caring person we’ve met! My husband was in a very bad kondition when we arrived from Hanoi by train. He had been ill for a week already and while we stayed at Amanda Villa he got worse. The owner, Nam, first got in contact with a doctor and got him some medicine, but when that didn’t help, he took us to hospital in NinhBinh in his own car. At the hospital they took blood samples and did an X-ray and found out that he suffered from an infection and prescribed antibiotics. We stayed for a whole week at Amanda Villas cause of the state my husband were in and we really had perfect service. They cooked for us and cared for us in the very best way! Amanda Villa is a bit outside Tam Coc and that is positive. You can borrow bicycles for free and it’s very easy to cycle to Bich Dong pagoda and if you want to take a boat ride on the river it’s on the way to Bich Dong and you can easily reach it by bicycle! I’ve nothing but the best to say about this place! Thank you so much Nam and wife! A special thanks to Vienh (not sure about the spelling) that was so nice to us all thetime!

The staff here is super friendly, they gave me recommendations for sightseeing and food spots. It's a hostel, but it feels like a comfy home away from home – clean, peaceful, and with comfy bed. I'm definitely booking a room there again if I ever return to Ninh Binh!

Had a fantastic stay at the Retreat. The place is run by a very friendly husband and wife that went above and beyond in terms hospitality. I was invited to eat with the family on my first night and even got the chance to participate in a very fun karaoke night with some locals on the second. The location itself is beautifully situated on a quaint road, nestled between lush rice paddies and limestone hills, creating spectacular views at all times of the day and the perfect atmosphere to spend a few days and relax. The main sights are all within a convenient distance with bicycles or motorbikes, both of which are at your disposal on the property. Highly recommend this location, where you will receive unmatched Vietnamese hospitality in a peaceful countryside setting.

The villa itself was a good standard. Spacious and although the chairs and single beds a little uncomfortable generally the decor was well done. The pool outside is nice and clean but for some reason they have all the pools facing the road rather than what will be the lake. I had the number of someone from the villas on messages and they were helpful and responsive when I asked specific questions. The resort will be nice when it's complete The location is quite close to the park It was wet, cold and windy when we were there and the villa was a good place for us to relax when there wasn't anything else going on The main restaurant is pretty spectacular but gets cold when it's bad weather. The food and service was good but menu is very limited. There was a good bolognese that our fussy kid was happy with. The fish was exceptional. The spa bath/onsen was clean and relaxing. But there is no real changing rooms
