The house is cozy and well equipped, and the meals we had were excellent (special mention of the grilled fresh fish dishes) and plentiful. We appreciated the natural beauty and serenity of the floating house and its surroundings, and above all the freedom to explore Cai Beo and Lan Ha at our own pace on the kayaks, stopping for photos as we wish and meeting locals on some of the rafts. Hoa and Tran were excellent hosts, lovely and kind, super helpful with their advice on the best kayaking routes and attentive to every single request we had. Their nephew Toan looked after us on the floating farm and took us on an epic night kayaking trip around the Cai Beo bay to see bioluminescent plankton. We are really grateful for our excellent stay and would recommend it to fellow adventurers!

Nam is an excellent host and knows rhe town very well. His recommendations for restaurants/ bar and shopping helped us enjoy our stay in the town even more.

We’ve been there with the friends and my elderly mother and 3 years old very active son. Everything was great. The property has all necessary equipment, everything for comfortable stay. The rooms have excellent view to the harbor. The neighborhood is rather quiet. The host is very polite and is in touch all the time.

They let us check in early and showed us the house from top to bottom. The apartment was a very large space, good for families. A washing machine on the third floor and two bathrooms made it very convenient. There is a darling tiny Daschund who lives next door who came and visited us every day. We had a scooter and a bicycle at our disposal, which made going to the old town very quick. The apartment is in a local area with lots of food options. There is a nice little bar called “Trang Draft Beer” that is run by a local woman right next door. Don’t be scared about how it looks. The proprietor speaks great English and offered up stories and local dishes for us tourists not familiar with real Vietnamese food. The beer is cold, food delicious, and the prices cheap. We ate here twice during our trip for under $8 USD for our family of three with three beers each. On the other hand, you can walk 1-2 km into the tourist part of town by the water and pay much higher prices.

Ánh Dương Villa Homestay ligger i Ha Long, blot 200 m fra Marina Bay-stranden. The owner is really friendly and helpful. He is super responsive and contacted me right after I booked his property. All the rooms are spacious. Owner also offered to buy charcoal for us for bbq. He prepared everything we want. And also, he become our translator. He helped us arranged the driver and Halong bay cruise too.
