Considering the cost of staying at Dear B&B II, the facility was great. My wife and I were treated very well by the owner. She delivered breakfast and organized transportation for us to explore the islands. Originally, we requested a scooter, but when the weather turned sour on us, the owner quickly arranged for us to obtain a very reasonably priced, relatively new, Toyota Yaris vehicle. The room was quiet and had a nice balcony. There is a small kitchen facility in the B&B which appears to be equipped enough to cook for oneself, but we chose to eat out. Although on the periphery of all the action in Jincheng, only a ten or fifteen minute walk gets one into the heart of the city. We found a it best to eat downtown and there are plenty of places to find snacks. If one is addicted to bubble tea like we are, good bubble tea can be found at Coco’s on one of the main streets, southeast from Dear B&B II and up from the bus station.

Set in Jincheng, a few steps from Kinmen Military Headquarters of Qing Dynasty, 模範人家-包棟-彼岸市區館 offers accommodation with a garden, free WiFi, free shuttle service, and a tour desk. Exceptionally good location. Finding food and going round the island was really convenient. Room was clean and spacious for us. We had very comfortable hot bath after a long tired day. Ah Ren 大哥was very helpful to receive and sent us to the JinCheng bus station during our departure. It is always good to be able to make friend with the hostel owner in the trip.

What I love about this place is that the actual property & room inside looks exactly like the photos. Too many times, I have booked rooms in Taiwan & got disappointed upon arrival bc the entrance/lobby is full of clutter but with Bigger B&B, it’s clean & well maintained. I also chose this over many other hotels was due to the decor & set up. It has a separate wet/dry bathroom, a living room space in the triple room (even though it was just the two of us), simple brick wall design/white walls & white linens/bed sheets. I’ve seen too many tacky decor in other hotels/B&Bs in Taiwan with the cartoon walls or tacky designs for the bedding so this was refreshing to see the western look here. The beds & pillows were firm & this nice comfort didn’t cost as much as the nicer hotels. There is parking for scooters, which is a must in Kinmen. This location is located in a quiet area minutes away (on scooter) from the busy area. There is a hot/warm/cold water dispenser in the hallway. The owner was also very welcoming.
