The cottage appeal is very unique for being in the center of southern Kathmandu. Once you step inside the gate, you feel like you are outside Kathmandu with the charm of the hills. Breakfast and dinners were great.

Situated in Budhanilkantha, 10 km from Kathmandu, Shivapuri Heights Cottage boasts views of the garden and Kathmandu valley. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Shivapuri is a very special unique place, catering to all types of travellers. This is the second time that I am staying at Shivapuri and it feels like home. The owners and staff are beyond accommodating and helpful and kind. Every time I have stayed here I choose the tent option because they are the most cosy, luxury and spacious tents I have ever stayed in and the views of the surrounding hills and Kathmandhu are incredible ! I chose this place because it offers a place to rest away from the intensity of the city but not so far away that you can't get into town easily. It really is set in the most perfect location, you can choose if you want to spend the day in nature or visit the temples in Kathmandu centre. The food is exceptional, all home grown and home made and catered to your every need. I cannot recommend this place more, I will definitely come back here when I return to Nepal, it is perfect for travelling alone or with your loved ones. Boasting mountain views, The White House Villa 8 bedroom with Swimming Pool features accommodation with water sports facilities and a balcony, around 10 km from Swayambhu. The house is nice, kitchen is big. It’s a good distance from the city Center for a weekend getaway. The view from the rooftop is quite nice and we were able to sleep 11 people very comfortably. The rating would have been much higher if not for the ridiculously intrusive on site staff. If management corrects this it will be a big improvement.

Offering a garden and garden view, Avocado Cottages is located in Khadkagaon, 2.4 km from Sleeping Vishnu and 7.1 km from Pashupatinath. Clean and quiet place. Loved it. Worth staying there

Set upon natural settings thus offering picturesque views of the Himalayas, lush Pine Forest and Kathmandu Valley Peaceful Cottage & Café du Mont offers well appointed rooms with free WiFi access. The staff were excellent, especially Diwana who went out of his way to help. On a clear day the view is breathtaking, I very much doubt there is better. Rooms clean, very good size, & again spectacular views. It certainly is no 5*. However you get the impression it once was. Bit of a " hotel Budapest" if you have ever seen the film. However for service, & a view that will take your breath away, it is well worth it.
