Spread across 2 acres of lakefront property, Wild Lotus Yala is set in a quiet rural village close to Yala National Park. By far my favourite stay during my 10-day trip to Sri Lanka! The Manager, Gamini, is the most accommodating, friendly and helpful Manager I have encountered at any stay. The property is stunning and exceeded my expectations! Tranquil, surrounded by nature, and the pool area was ideal for spending a relaxing day. We even worked here and it was a great place to work as the wifi worked very well and the quiet made it easy to concentrate. Close proximity to Yala National Park, and we did the Safari arranged by Wild Lotus, and our guides were the best!! We also did the village tour and boat tour on Tissa lake - same guides, and both tours were great. The surrounding areas are absolutely stunning, didn't want to leave. We stayed here for 3 nights and ate here for lunch & dinner on all days (and breakfast) because the food was really good and affordable! A MUST stay when visiting Yala/Tissa!!

Kele Yala is a boutique hotel situated in the dry zone in Kataragama. I loved the location. In spite of the fact that it was pretty remote and the road wasn’t the best, we saw a lot of stars at night and it was very calm + close to nature. The dinner was amazing and delicious.

Situated in Tissamaharama, Richards Cabanas is located amidst calming greenery and peaceful natural surroundings. It features an outdoor swimming pool and provides complimentary parking and free WiFi.... Fantastic accommodation run by a local family. Staff are friendly, the property is super clean and comfortable. We stayed in the cabanas in front of the pool and would recommend it. Also they have organised our safari in Yala and we were very pleased with the experience - if you do a morning safari they will prepare a basket with breakfast for you. We would definitely stay here again!

Overlooking Tissa Lake, Lake View Cottage offers air-conditioned rooms with a 4-posted bed and free Wi-Fi. This place has one of the most stunning views we've seen while staying in Sri Lanka! It was so peaceful just sitting on our balcony watching the animals walk and fly by. The two guys taking care of the place were very professional, friendly and accomadating. The included breakfast was amazing too! Definitely worth staying here!

Offering a garden and garden view, Sunset Villa is situated in Tissamaharama, 1.9 km from Tissa Wewa and 24 km from Bundala Bird Sanctuary. The Room is Clean and amazing! Very closed Debarawewa town. The staff is kind and helpful, Everything was good. Good Price room Best safari arrangements.. Everything was perfect .

Featuring a patio with pool views, an open-air bath and a bar, O2 Villas Yala can be found in Yala, close to Palatupana Beach and 17 km from Tissa Wewa. Huge villa with an immersive jungle experience! The villa has a beautiful and unique interior, including a real tree, and has great views (I spotted an elephant from the rooftop!). The staff was extremely helpful, accommodating, and friendly. They repeatedly went out of their way to make sure we had the best possible experience. The amazing staff really made this hotel stand apart from others.

Set within 2.2 km of Tissa Wewa and 27 km of Bundala Bird Sanctuary in Tissamaharama, Amazon Cabanas provides accommodation with seating area. Its run by the lovely couple who caters to your every need. From arranging tuk tuk to organising Safari with take away breakfast (thank you)! The place they have is a real oasis among those we visited so far, hidden away, quiet, calm and perfect to relax and rest after visiting Yala park. Cabanas are near the river and surrounded by garden which provides a little safari in front of your window: tens of birds, monitor lizards, mongooses and many others. Real gem. Try it!!!

Located in Tissamaharama, this villa is 8 km from Tissa Wewa and a 15-20 minute drive to the Yala National Park. The villa has air conditioning and free WiFi. Free private parking is available on... Property is amazing, super spacious and cozy. Pool area is great with lake view. Hosts there are super helpful and food is one of the best we had in Sri Lanka so far. Totally recommended!
