The setting is stunning - immaculate pool with views of the beach and sea. The beach is completely unspoiled and right there. There are only 8 guests staying at any one time so always the perfect number of sun loungers and the pool was pretty much always empty so it felt like your personal pool. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive - they catered for us for absolutely everything. They made breakfast available for us late when we came back from the whale watching. You must have the Sri Lankan breakfast! Dinner was especially set for us on the beach one night which was delicious, and we saw a baby turtle. We had to leave early on our last day for our flight and we were sent away with a packed breakfast. Everything was so thoughtful, from the turn down service, the bath running, the freshly made juices and the coconuts shaped as bunnies. We loved it!!

This was the most st wonderful place; quite magical. The gardens have beautiful trees to keep you shaded if you’re on a lounger and the veranda is all a pretty special place to eat the best breakfast in the whole of Sri Lanka or just chill on a planter seat. The rooms are spacious and cool and the bed fit for a princess (or prince). I could go on and on but most importantly, the staff; they are the friendliest people you’ll meet and super efficient. The very best.

A recently renovated property, Breeze Blows- Solitude Holiday Home is set in Matara near Matara Beach, Polhena Beach and Madiha Beach. Very comfortable. Good mosquito nets! The property has an excellent bathroom, lovely bed, laundry facilities, kitchen, fridge and freezer, good WiFi, powerful fans. 100% happy ! The hostess was charming, and her local knowledge very helpful. We had THE BEST time here.

A few steps from Dickwella Beach, Kaas Villas Dikwella is a recently renovated property situated in Dickwella and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. This is a new, modernly furnished complex of three villas. Each villa has two separate bedrooms with their own bathroom, located on the 2nd floor. On the ground floors there is a large dining area, kitchen area and seating areas. In the backyard there is a swimming pool and sunbathing areas. The layout of the villas is very comfortable. The villas are equipped with everything you need. If something is missing, the staff will quickly bring it. Contact the guys via Whats app. The staff is very welcoming, sociable, friendly, always ready to help. Predib, I hope we will see each other again :-) The location of the villas is also excellent - the city beach and the Smoke&Bitters restaurant are 20 meters away. Within 800 meters, there are many cafes, including breakfast ones. You can also buy groceries at the Cargills supermarket or order breakfast at the Villa. By the way, there is even a restaurant with food delivery - Blue Bay Chillout Lounge. We used it several times, very convenient :-). We liked everything. We will definitely recommend this place and will happy return again.

Set just 200 metres from Thalaramba Beach, Shanika Guest & Villa features accommodation in Mirissa with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The house is clean, well-decorated and comfortable. The kitchen is simple but good. The balcony is very nice to take meals and relax. The location is perfect on the main road. I’d recommend

Featuring garden views, Ru Retreat Weligama offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 800 metres from Weligama Beach. We stayed in the unit for 2 weeks and it was a great experience! The owners are always happy to help and the unit was clean and cozy. There is a very good AC which is important in Sry Lanka and there is a small grocery store right across the street so you can get water and basic foods without carrying it. Overall it was great value for money and we highly recommend it!!

Had a good time there, it was clean, we could sleep well and everything worked. Had cute breakfast in the garden. There was also kitchen facility in the garden and the room next door

Pahasara Villa, a property with a garden, is set in Mirissa, 1.1 km from Kamburugamuwa Beach, 1.6 km from Mirissa Beach, as well as 36 km from Hummanaya Blow Hole. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They took extra care to make our stay comfortable. We felt like they were our extended family. They made food for us which was very tasty and clean.

A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Our host went above and beyond to ensure it was an unforgettable occasion, adding a personal touch that truly made me feel special. Without a doubt, if I ever find myself in Sri Lanka again, Charming Dark Lodge will be my first choice for accommodation.
