The owner is extra helpful and gave us great tips, organized a safari for us together with a couple of other guests, for a really good price, I believe half of what you normally get and we’ve been lucky to see lots of elephants. It’s a short tuk tuk ride from the village, but there’s plenty around, so not to worry.

We extended our stay so that we could do a tour around the hosts local village which was beautiful and so worthwhile. We also were able to cook dinner in their kitchen which was lovely and a nice change as we have both been traveling for a while. Highly recommend staying at Pearl’s Homestay.

We had the pleasure of being some of the first guests at this wonderful retreat in Sri Lanka, and we absolutely loved it! The food was exceptional, with a great variety of fresh and delicious Sri Lankan dishes. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. We were also impressed by the attention to detail, including the information provided about the trees on the property, including their Latin names. The architecture was not only pleasing to the eye but also absolutely functional. Additionally, the manager went out of their way to ensure our well-being, as they complimentary called a doctor to check on me after I caught a cold during the train ride. We can't wait to return and experience the hospitality and beauty of this accommodation facility again!

It had everything we needed, comfy beds, a warm shower, even hygiene products, and was clean . The host is very nice and was able to organize several trips and always called us taxis etc. when we needed one. He also prepared us a very good breakfast. The whole residence feels very in touch with nature and the jungle
