It was the perfect base and experience of Machiya. We spent evenings relaxing looking at the snow falling in the garden - the underfloor heating was amazing keeping the house warm and cosy. The location was great for exploring the Samurai museum and other temples in the area. Highly recommend it - we will definitely stay again when we visit Kanazawa.

There was a book of instructions for all the appliances and electronics and the host even sent a list of preferred restaurants and other things nearby.
