There is a small beach just behind the house. Outside the house can park 2-3 cars. There are 3 rooms of reasonable size. 2 rooms are with 2 double decker beds. 1 room with 2 single beds, and this room is joined to the sitting area. The kitchen and dining area is certainly the most interesting area. The kitchen has all the facilities for light cooking, and the large dining table can easily seat 10. The is a washing machine and dryer, and wifi is good and strong. The place is quite remote, so it is suitable for those travelling by own vehicle, car, bicycle or motorbike. The hosts are very hospitable and very helpful with local places to visit. They met us on arrival. Check-out was also free of hassle.

民泊大森 is situated in Iyo, 26 km from Tobe Pottery Museum, 27 km from Uchiko Town Museum, and 28 km from Machiya Resource Center. I loved everything about this stay. Very friendly and warm hosts, a really comfortable place overall. Iyo doesn’t have too much in the way of food, but they provided some toast and jam which was really nice of them. I’m especially grateful that they took me around the town when I unfortunately couldn’t make it to Cat Island. Beds were comfy futons.

It was beautiful. There was complementary bottled water, tea, coffee and japanese sweets as well as fruit, which were all very delicious. The location is also nice, a bit away from all the fuss of the city, but easy to reach. As we were about to leave, the host also made us a little present with a cute note on top, that was very nice of him. All things considered, it was worth the money, we had a very nice stay that not only met, but exceeded our expectations.

Very nicely presented house. Nice mix of traditional and modern features. Lots of space. Easy to do laundry. Nice outdoor cooking area - we didn't use it but it looked good.
