A special mention to the breakfast which surpassed our expectations with locally sourced and home made produce.

Casa Nannina is a gorgeous, new lovely apartment walking distance to the Sassi. The hosts are absolutely wonderful people that assisted us with so many things - finding a parking spot in the rain at night and giving us a fantastic restaurant recommendation that was still open when we arrived late. They also recommended other restaurants tours etc and was available our entire stay for questions through WhatsApp. I honestly wish we had more time to enjoy the apartment and Matera. We highly recommend this apartment - the hosts thought of everything you will need for a fabulous stay.

Angelo's Country House ligger 40 km fra Casa Grotta nei Sassi og har have, terrasse samt værelser med aircondition, balkon og gratis wi-fi. Angelo was the perfect host, always on hand if you needed him. The small complex set in the countryside and offering peace and tranquility, contains 1 x 2 bedroom apartment and 1 x 1 bedroom apartment and our room which was described as a double room with garden views. Our double room turned out to be a massive one-room apartment with a new kitchen and dining area and a good size shower room. Outside the gardens are extensive and fully enclosed so we didn't have to worry about our dogs wandering off. Outdoor dining and seating areas under the shade of the Mulberry tree are on offer for all to use. Also in the enclosure were Gigi the dog, two donkeys, and a horse called Samantha. Chickens galore. It's almost a petting zoo so if you have small kids, they'll love it. It truly is one of the best places we've stayed. A unique experience. A big thank you to Angelo and his family.

Amazing spot to relax, disconnect, enjoy nature, good food and incredible landscapes. The rooms are spacious and filled with comfort. The restaurant is outstanding in terms of price quality relation. The only minor defect is the pool that needs some maintenance. But with all the amazing beaches in the surroundings, no probs at all! Very friendly and professional owner. Staff super nice and helpful.

I do not think there is anything we did not like. The apartment was really nice and cozy, totally clean, the city was astounding and Cinzia and her daughter were really sweet and happy to help. Would definitely come back again.
