Located at the foot of mountains, you can enjoy the impressive view from the room or go hiking for a closer look. So clean, not a speck of dirt to be found. Felt like a lovely home from home with beautiful bathrooms and plenty of room in shared facilities. Even had toiletries in bathrooms for those that had none. Skuli the farm dog was simply the best dog ever. Stefan was amazingly friendly and we were so surprised when he came back into the guesthouse kitchen at night with fresh baked rye bread for the guests to eat. The perfect stay

Spread over 2 buildings, Skorrahestar offers basic guest room accommodation with shared or private bathroom facilities. All have access to a communal kitchen, dining area and lounge area. The check in process was very easy. Thea met us at the reception area, and showed us to our room. She also showed us around the guesthouse, so we could easily find everything that we needed. Our room was very comfortable, and spacious. The breakfast, each morning, was delicious. You could tell that everything was prepared fresh. We all were big fans of the homemade jams and biscuits. We loved being able to speak with the family and learn more about the farm and area. We booked one of the horseback riding tours, and Doddi took us out around the property. We really enjoyed ourselves, and he made everything more fun and easygoing. Doddi even taught us about a traditional Icelandic dance, which we attempted to recreate on horseback. We would recommend this guesthouse to anyone!

The recently renovated villa has 3 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with streaming services and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with a dishwasher, an oven, a washing machine, a toaster and a fridge. Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the terrace, which also has outdoor furniture. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.
