Unfortunately, the baobab tree is no longer alive, but the beauty of the house does not depend on the tree. We had breakfast and diner made by Lida, the neighbour, and really enjoyed the meals (vegetarian) The fruits (papaya and passionfruit) were very delicious. Thank you.

Located in Rui Vaz in the Santiago region, Recanto da Montanha provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Very nice place to stay. Safe, clean, with running water and working electricity and Internet. There’s also private parking available. Basic breakfast is included and makes a good start of the day. The location is convenient for the mountain walks. We hired a car and used as a base to explore all the island. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The last kilometres of the road after leaving the main road is not asphalted but it’s wide and in very good condition . The view of the mountains around is very nice. Due to the mountains location the temperature is cooler than at the seaside which make the sleeping much more pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

Vista la mia storia personale con Capo Verde e la mia connessione con la gente locale, si è creato un bel rapporto umano con lei, di affetto e fiducia reciproci. Mi ha trattato come uno di famiglia, e le sono molto grato. Comunque il luogo è spazioso, confortevole, pulito, comodo, in un ambiente calmo quello di Tarrafal. Luzia, obrigado di kurason !
