Everything. Alfina was the perfect hostess with the most comfortable of homes. Alfina picked us up from the train station, which was most welcome. I went for my 50th and Alfina arranged flowers and a cake and prosecco, at the request of my partner. So very kind. You will feel so at home here. No need for a big impersonal hotel. Stay here and you will be more than happy.

Modern and clean. Amazing views of Lake Como from the terrace. The host, Viviana, is very welcoming. 30 minute hike to town which we came to enjoy. There are many trails to do this. Especially liked the one past the cemetery. The shower feels so good after a long day of hiking. Take the ferry to Bellagio and have lunch.

Lovely, cosy apartment, centrally located in Varenna with a very short walking distance to restaurants and the lake. The host was very friendly and communication was great, and we were very grateful that the host arranged for his father to collect us from the train station. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

The house has a very nice view and very spacious, 15 minutes walk from Varenna. Franco came to pick me up at the station and then drove me to the place. This was super convenient. I recommend it to everyone.

The property was beautiful and very clean and well maintained. The owner was so thoughtful and had stocked the house with so many essentials that we were most pleasantly surprised. She was also very helpful with information and tips. Self check in was smooth and easy. The best part is the property and location. It was lovely in the mornings and so peaceful....we were lucky that there was a road closure ahead and hence the traffic that other people have mentioned was non-existent, so I really can't comment on any noise....but the property would more than make up for it. Highly recommended. It is not a far walk from the Ferries for sight seeing for the rest of Como....but it might be a bit of a walk if you have luggage (not much, around 10-15 minutes). We had a car, so this was not a problem.

Liz went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She prepared a welcome tray of food and drink which served us well for breakfast the few nights we were there. Also called to make sure we were settled in and comfortable. Wonderful for weddings at Villa Cipressi as I was travelling with babies and needed to be nearby. Appreciated that I did not have to climb up steps and steep slopes, and taxis could easily drop me in front of the doorstep.
