our host went out of his way to make us feel comfortable when we arrived about 1 hour early, He took us out to the gardens where he brought us some refreshments while the room was getting fixed. We love being out in the countryside, which this was and it was wonderfully quiet. We found a wonderful restaurant down the road which our host had recommended.

This house is spacious, clean, and lovely in a quiet neighborhood and close enough to walk to Pisticci's interesting sites. The whole house is very comfortable, with good air conditioning and a nice comfortable bed. There is also a good-sized second bedroom with two twin beds. The kitchen is fully furnished with details and treats that we did not expect. The washing machine was a blessing at this point in our road trip around Basilicata, along with the large drying rack on which our laundry dried very quickly. Towels, fresh from the laundry, were waiting for us in sealed plastic bags on the bed. Everything was clean and seemed to be brand new. The host, Gianluca is kind beyond words. We had some difficulty with GPS in locating the house. We called Gianluca, who immediately set out and found us and led us to the house. He showed us the nearby grocery store and later came over at dinnertime to show us how to operate the gas stove. All off this surpassed our expectations.

Guiseppe, the owner, offers simple comfortable rooms set in a delightful garden with terraces and walkways, nestled in olive trees and lemon groves, which he has developed over 30 years. He is a very good host who takes great trouble for his guests. He booked us a delicious evening meal at a local family restaurant that we would never have found for ourselves, and arranged our breakfast in a romantic bower! Recommended for a relaxing stay.
