A trip to Lombok would not be complete without dedicating a day or two getting to see the local village of Tetebatu. The host and his property are lovely, he spent a few days walking the rice fields with me to see the locals working and the beautiful views, we visited a lovely waterfall and had great food which was prepared by him using the fresh ingredients located all around his garden. We walked through the monkey forest and were able to see black and grey monkeys in their natural habitat and workers preparing their next harvest in the fields all of which was practically in his backyard. no His puppy and daughter were lovely and I’m so happy I got to see the authentic Lombok for all it’s beauty. stay here!

The little bungalow you stay in is in the heart of a local village in Lombok, surrounded by rice fields. Asmuni, the host, was the friendliest and nicest host I’ve ever had. He showed us lots of different Lombok culture and traditions and provided some lovely breakfast for us. He completely made the stay for us and I could not recommend it more

The kindness of the host is what stands out. I advise you to go on the waterfall hike with him. He has his own path through the jungle to the beautiful Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfalls. Definitely better than trying to find them on your own and for a very reasonable price. The food offered by the host is made by his wife and is absolutely delicious if you like the local cuisine. The portions are very royal. This accomodation has its own waterfall in the backyard... What more do you need? P.s. the host drove all the way to Kuta in the south of Lombok to bring me my earplugs that I forgot, even though I only stayed for 1 night. Just goes to show the lengths he goes to for his guests.
