We had a fantastic time at Villa Mara - it is a beautiful house with excellent facilities and the photos don’t do it justice. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home, with lots of help and recommendations. It is beautifully decorated inside and outside, and the pool is an added bonus. The villa is in a little village in the hills above Korcula town, and hence away from the hustle and bustle, and quiet and peaceful as a result. We didn’t have transport but taxis are easy to come by and inexpensive. There is a small supermarket and an excellent restaurant that are each just a 1 minute walk away.

We adored the house, especially the lush green surroundings that made spending time on the terrace a delight. Though the host was absent, we had prior communication, and he ensured we had everything we required. The house was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped, including a set of excellent knives, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other places we've rented before. The beach is really near and while it's nothing spectacular about it, I appreciated that it was not crowded.

The location was amazing, so quiet and metres from a lovely little beach. The hosts were a stylish family and were just gorgeous. It was the nicest meet and greet we’d ever had. Dont often get to say this but the best host and what a place. Usually when you see pictures about the place you are about to book - pictures look good but when you enter the place it is different. Here we can say that everything you see in the pictures matched 100 % - or if possible, place was even better than in pictures and we thought. We contacted them via messages before booking because we wanted to make sure there is a private balcony and they replied quickly to our messages, even though we didnt even have booked the place. They also helped us with ferry schedules etc. before our booking. Check in was smooth, we messaged them when we waiting a ferry and were waiting us on the street and pointed us parking place. This is not a room you are booking, it is a full house and what a house it was. Two and half floors with garden and sofa etc. There were everything you could need, in bathroom: soap, shampoo, balsam, body lotions, creams, make up removers etc. but in kitchen too. It was huge, washer, stove, equipments and what a surprise fridge was fully stuffed, with eggs, bacon, milk, strawberries, wine, chocolade, fresh bread etc. It was wonderful surprise!! There is AC downstairs and also one in main bedroom upstairs. Huge, comfy bed, lot of closet space, lot of space. Windowns facing the sea and old town - view is incredible from windows and french balcony. There is another bedroom for kids as well. Parking spacious for one car, safe, quiet area, everything close by foot, old town, stores, restaurant etc. Patio with sofas, tables, sunbed etc. There isnt enough space and enough words to describe everything, but this was super wonderful family and super amazing house!!!

The location is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Then owners are super friendly, helpful and not intrusive at all. The house is well fitted with everything you need. Both en-suite rooms are spacious with cupboard space and fans. The patio and barbecue area is stunning. We loved our stay!!

The accommodation is perfect. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and there is even an additional bathroom (with two washing machines!) downstairs. The kitchen is well-equipped and clean (there are three fridges in total! And a freezer in the kitchen downstairs). The barbeque is a nice touch. The pool is fantastic. Only a few neighbours. Shops are in walking distance (small one: 5min away, bigger one: 10min away). The beaches in walking distance are not the nicest, but you can take the bus to Lumbarda or go island hopping by taxi boat - or simply stay at the pool. The town is a 15min-walk away. I can highly recommend this accommodation. We stayed there for 10 days and we had a great time exploring the island, playing table tennis and chilling at the pool. We are thinking about going there again next year!
