We had a fantastic time at Villa Mara - it is a beautiful house with excellent facilities and the photos don’t do it justice. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home, with lots of help and recommendations. It is beautifully decorated inside and outside, and the pool is an added bonus. The villa is in a little village in the hills above Korcula town, and hence away from the hustle and bustle, and quiet and peaceful as a result. We didn’t have transport but taxis are easy to come by and inexpensive. There is a small supermarket and an excellent restaurant that are each just a 1 minute walk away.

We adored the house, especially the lush green surroundings that made spending time on the terrace a delight. Though the host was absent, we had prior communication, and he ensured we had everything we required. The house was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped, including a set of excellent knives, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other places we've rented before. The beach is really near and while it's nothing spectacular about it, I appreciated that it was not crowded.

The location was amazing, so quiet and metres from a lovely little beach. The hosts were a stylish family and were just gorgeous. It was the nicest meet and greet we’d ever had. The whole family even came especially to say goodbye to us. They genuinely cared about us having a wonderful stay. The apartment was so clean and homey. I could go on and on about the pluses. I would rather not say anything because for sure I will forget something. Everything was perfect. You really have impression it is your home. Refrigerator had food and drinks inside to prevent need for running to store immediatelly. All spices were in the kitchen and when I say all I mean that (at least 10 I never heard off). Tons of books were there..about Korcula, cooking, history, novels....all kitchen equipment was there..parking was by the house..It was quiet, peacefull, few minutes walk from old town centre..a lot of comfortable beds, sofas, tv with all channels and netflix..to be short - more than perfect

Nights are even better, I never saw so many stars and so bright milky way. Host was very friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of tips where else to go, which restaurants to visit etc...

The outside space at the Villa is absolutely perfect . We were a family group of 11 . The children ( young adults now!) loved the pool , table tennis and football table. The sun loungers and sun shades are excellent quality and there is plenty of space to chill out - in the sun or in the shade. There is a beach 10 minutes walk away with everything you need. Korcula town is a 20 minute walk and is beautiful with plenty of restaurants , shops and spots to get into the sea. We would all highly recommend the Villa and Korcula.
