We loved the house -it has been so lovingly maintained; the decorations and touches in every room were delightful. The outdoor space was pleasant. Lovely old homestead on outskirts of town with beautiful views over open country. Rooms have separate sleeping and sitting areas. Bread, cereal and milk (etc) provided for breakfast. No sink, only a plastic bowl (not easy to find): tricky to fill kettle and bowl from tap in bathroom basin. A wonderful base for exploring the Barossa Valley.

The bubbley breakfast was fantastic!!! The hot tub was perfect for the chilly nights and the entertainment system was lots of fun.

The retreat was in a perfect location to explore Barossa, whether you're wanting to go to wineries, explore the townships or both. The retreat itself is incredibly spacious which is great for a family or a group of friends, with all the amenities you could need for a long weekend away. The Lambert family were very hospitable and if you have the chance, book in for a delicious lunch at the winery! Keep an eye out for kangaroos between the vines too!

Very friendly hostess, who gives you a warm welcome. She is there when you need her, but gives you all the privacy you want. The cottage is fully equipped and the terrace with the well-maintained jacuzzi is great.
