Absolutely loved this magical place. Nice and quiet getaway, falling asleep with only the sound of the river. So much attention for details by the sweetest couple who run the place. Amazing view. Nice walk at the property along. the town close by felt very safe. We used this spot to travel to Drakensberg park, so after a day of hiking this was the perfect place to relax. One of our favorite spots in South Africa!

We stayed in Sunflower Cottage. It was amazing. We loved the fresh eggs, bread and milk that was provided, the quirky touches, and attention to detail. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The farm itself has so much to offer. Our girls couldn't wait to get out and about to see the farm animals, the cows being milked, and to run around in the fresh air. Our back garden was a welcome suprise, with a beautiful patio where we could relax and eat meals, and look out onto the farm.

One of the best places to visit, stunning places to eat, lots of little shops to purchase real Notties stuff, and the people there are so friendly, they love their visitors, will do anything to recommend a place to visit, or a place to eat, also they have so much to do, walking trails, cycling, canoeing, bird watching.

The rooms were really beautiful and spacious, and equipped with everything we could have wanted. The furniture all over the hotel is beautiful.
The gardens were breathtaking and really created such a relaxed atmosphere.
The brewery is definitely worth a visit to, for the beer and the gin. Both were really amazing!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them.

6 days is about enough time to do one route of the Midlands Meander thoroughly. I think 8 days was a bit too long this time, but it was extremely relaxing and we managed to have fun for every day that we were there.

The room was dated - not what I had expected & the lack of windows left a claustrophobic feeling. Also had requested a double bed & ended up with singles

Comfortable and homely. Fresh bread, milk, butter and eggs on arrival, as well as delicious 'cow' biscuits. Also tea, coffee and sugar is supplied. Beds were warm and comfortable on a chilly night; with a fireplace in the lounge area. Good-sized TV with a wide selection of channels. Although we didn't self-cater (as it was just a 1-night stopover for us), the cottage is well stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The farm is very positioned with easy access to the R103 and just a short drive into Nottingham Road.
Highly recommending this hotel! Value for price is exceptional, I did book a suite with two bedrooms and a large living room plus kitchen incl. balcony, all was really clean and modern, the owners were answering quickly and I felt super safe on the property! There are options to go for a walk on the large property and see zebras etc. Could not do that but that's an extra plus.
We were attending a wedding in outside Nottingham road and it was an ideal spot to be at.
Unbeknown to us, neighbouring friends had also booked there and were in the room next door!
The accommodation itself was comfortable and suited our needs.
Staff are very obliging and helpful and the hostess is a lovely naturally engaging person
It's a place where you can really enjoy the beauty of the area. It is like a beautiful boutique hotel where although luxurious, the host makes you feel relaxed and at home. We loved it so much that we decided to come again. The second stay was consistent with the first including a delicious breakfast. Close to great restaurants.
A very Beautiful place away to relax from daily City life. Picture perfect views of the farm and the surrounding area which really helped to de-stress. Our amazing hosts were very welcoming, they helped to ensure that we were at out utmost comfort and made our stay an unforgettable one. I will definitely be visiting again.
It was cold in Nottingham Road during the evening and night (as it often is) and we really appreciated the underfloor heating, aircon and fireplace, making it very cozy inside.
Food in the restaurant was well prepared and tasty.
Generally the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast and location great. Siya and Mandy very friendly and always helpful and there to see to our comfort. Staff in restaurant saw to all our needs and rooms were well kept and always fresh towels. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Self catering so I prepared breakfast. Location was good. Delicious muffins on arrival. Host was very friendly. Made sure we were comfortable. Nice fireplace with woods which we used . Generally a clean and well kept place .
It is self catering. We received milk and eggs. We had lovely dinner down the road. The road is particularly bad though with potholes to town. It is further out from Nottingham road.
Absolutely wonderful stay! Hosts were attentive and thoughtful, the room beautifully equipped and comfortable, and all round a really lovely spot. Would highly recommend!
Situated close to Nottingham road great to explore all the near by shops, stalls, markets, breweries etc without worrying about travelling far afterwards!
