Mount Ceder, hotel in Cederberg

Located in Cederberg in the Western Cape region, Mount Ceder has accommodations with free private parking.

Beautiful property, very well located on the way to Wupperthal, that was going to be my route. Amazing breakfast, great dinner, all served at the deck they have, with a great view. They also have a shop where you can buy local products, which wasn’t my case since I was traveling on a motorcycle. Congrats to the staff as well, all amazing. Once you get to the reception/restaurant, they check you in and handle you the keys to your lounge. The little houses are very well equipped and very spacious. I was by myself so didn’t even used the whole house. The distance between the lounges is great, and you hear nothing at night, just the nature. Lovely staying and won’t even think twice on staying there if I come back to the area. Last, for the price they charge, this place is the best!

de Pakhuys, hotel in Cederberg

De Pakhuys enjoys a location in Clanwilliam, 27 miles from Wupperthal Museum and 4.6 miles from Sevilla Rock Art Trail.

Location was beautiful and we liked the cottage. It was cold while there but normal for the time of year. It was unfortunately, too chilly to take advantage of the outsides seating and shower but this would have been lovely with different weather. The location was gorgeous. We did the San art trail and ate at Travellers Rest. We would highly recommend both. We were able to buy some supplies there rather than going back to Clanwilliam. We also took the untraced road to Nieuwoldtville, trip of three hours with return through Clanwilliamm (1.5 hours return). This is a gorgeous drive and stunning in flower season. The trip included time for a hike in the botanical garden in Niewwoldsville.

    Absolutely stunning views.

Absolutely stunning views. Definitely recommend high clearance vehicle. Lots of gravel roads, some are not great. When it rains, the roads are dangerous. Lots of driving through very deep puddles and some bridges washed away. But A+ for adventure.

The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient.

The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient. Our Eco-Cottage was beautifully positioned to maximise on the stunning mountain scenery and sunsets while being completely private. We booked supper and breakfast in the restaurant. The 3 course meal was superb; I would highly recommend the Lamb shank... The weather was sublime and we could dine out on the deck, still appreciating the surrounding beauty of nature. We would highly recommend this venue and its facilities and will definitely be returning again.
