The owner, Christa, thought of everything. There was a lovely sitting area for two in my room. The house was so warm and inviting. There was a fascinating book on the history of the inn which I read in front of a warm fire in the living room. Hot chocolate and coffee anytime, a bar open until 9 or so, so many delicious choices for breakfast. Absolutely wonderful.

Awful checkin experience. I had been told through the booking chat that I had been upgraded since I need a room that could fit the sofa bed and a cot rather than two beds (for my children to sleep separated), but the lady at the desk did not know about and would not even want to see the chat conversation. Looked really annoyed even at my asking and was very passive-aggressive even after I said I would pay for the upgrade (which I did) even if that is not what I had been told. At the end she just rolled in a cot (all wrapped up in sheets and just left, the sofa bed was also not made). Most of the things looked very old but were well kept. The people at the reception next day were nicer but we had to put up with other guests making racist comments about latinos at breakfast seemingly loud enough so that we could hear them.

Thing to remember is this is a resort with a european feel, not just a hotel to lay your head down for the night. If you are looking for a just a clean bed and continental breakfast this may not be your cup of tea. The facility is big, yet has a coziness to it. We loved the multiple small gathering rooms and nooks spread about the building with shelves filed with books, board games and puzzles. The property is huge, plenty of places to wander but also lots of hosted happenings. Loved the beer hall...they do a maple themed beer every year and it is very good. Staff is exceptional. they all seem to love working there. Highly recommend as a get away place.

Excellent decor, friendly staff, and incredible common area above pool. Walkability to the best of Stowe's town restaurants was a huge bonus, even more so in the warmer months.

Beautiful location, close to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Waterbury is a great location. It's a quick drive to Montpelier, Stowe, or even Burlington so you can easily make a week of it. We visited the Ben and Jerry's factor as well as the Cabot Factory Annex and both lived up to the hype. We checked out a couple local breweries and everything we tried was great.

Waterbury is a quaint area in Vermont.
Waterbury is a quaint area in Vermont. It is close to the VonTrapp lodge which is amust see for the view of the mountains. The Cabot Cheese store is nearby as well as Ben and Jerry's. There are many distillieries wher you can sample spirits and beer, ie. Smuggler's Distillery and the Alchemist in Stowe to name a few....and the maple syrup is the best.
Clean and beautifully decorated, it felt warm and welcoming, with gorgeous details throughout the home, really just an all around a wonderful experience. Plus it’s the perfect location between Stowe and Waterbury, with Cold Hollow Cider Mill and Luncheonette just a half mile away, you’ll have hands down the best breakfast around! Then Ben & Jerry’s, the Black Back pub, the Alchemist, and Stowe Cider, you can’t go wrong with this location!
Old Stagecoach Inn was the perfect stay for our time in Vermont, and it came at the recommendation of close friends. The accommodation was super cozy, the breakfast was amazing, and its all in an amazing location - just steps away from great bars/restaurants in Waterbury and a close drive to Burlington and other lovely VT locations. The staff was always so kind and went out of their way to make our stay as nice as it could be.
Funky, comfortable, friendly. Not at all corporate. Best breakfast in my 66 years of enthusiastic eating. Reviving little river town with great pubs and restaurants. Just up the road to Stowe but not so touristy. Nearby state park for swimming or hiking. Owner is hands on, cooks, and it shows in staff & decor. Cozy. Inn parrot, dachshunds, charming.
My spouse and i were travelling with our 2 grandkids (3 yo and 6 yo). And everyone of the Old Stagecoach Inn Staff that we met were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The Old Stagecoach Inn is a perfect spot for a peaceful, relaxing getaway! Also, the breakfast was yummy-licious. Thank U'all at Old Stagecoach Inn :)
Everything about this hotel was great; beautiful backyard, delicious breakfast, comfy beds and extremly clean! Staff was very friendly especially Sean who was always smiling and very polite.
Would recommend this hotel to everyone! Thanks again for such wonderful hospitality, we will definitely be back.
Excellent hotel, wrongfully rated at 3 stars because it deserves much more. Clean, quiet, cozy and so conveniently positioned between Waterbury and Stowe, it makes for a stress-free stay. The complementary breakfast is such a great touch. Would for sure visit soon!
Very clean hotel in an excellent location for touring Vermont.
Very good breakfast.
The hotel workers were very helpful.
As we were in New England for 1 month vacation - the hotel's washing machine was an excellent addition for us.
A highly recomended place.
staff were very helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean. Beds comfortable. Breakfast had a great choice of tea/coffee/juice along with cereals, pastries, fruit as well as a hot breakfast and a waffle maker. The chef was always on hand to assist.
Interior was well decorated. Location was easy access off the highway, to drive to Stowe, downtown Waterbury.
Love two full bathrooms. Thoughtful with the towels, sound machines. Easy instructions for cleaning up!
The staff was great and really nice. But hotel facilities were not good they are in a process of construction. We didn't know. They let us cancel our 3 night cause we couldn't stay with baby.
Decent, comfortable hotel. Well located for the Waterbury/Stowe area. Games room and pool are a nice addition. Free breakfast, water machines are nice little touches.
