Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sedalia, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Sedalia

This hotel in Sedalia, Missouri, is a 15-minute drive from Sedalia Memorial Airport. This completely non-smoking hotel serves a hot breakfast every morning and features a jacuzzi.

Liked the breakfast... My review is based on first impression then how I was treated and felt. After first seeing the room I thought it was okay then I noticed an old key card on the counter, used coffee pods & used tissues in the drawer. I was Immediately concerned on the cleanliness of the room. After our vidit to the pool we returned to the room & I sat down on the chair over a towel to get clothes from the drawer and seen old food or something on the floor I only took a picture because at a distance i couldnt see what it was, I'm overweight so it was easier to blow it up to see what it was, i still have no idea? After getting dressed I folded down the bed to relax and it smelled like a man's Body Odor really bad. The pillows smelled super bad, I made a request for fresh pillows and didn't get any. I placed the heavily soiled pillows in the cabinet because they smelled so bad. I really do not believe this room was cleaned and that the bed was just made without changing the sheets, shams or placing fresh pillows. This was not a good experience. The spa floor was really dirty and the hot tub looked like it needed a good scrubbing. This hotel is really warn down. The towels in my room were shredding too, I've never seen that before. I'm also being charged additional charges on my credit card that I plan to dispute. The strangest thing happened shortly after I left also, the hotel called me asking me if I took pillows. I thought how odd?? I replied that they were placed in the cabinet, I honestly wonder if that's why I have additional charges to my card?? This is a strange hotel, staff are strange and very nosy. My daughter and I left to eat dinner and we were asked where we were going. I had a lot of red flags about this place. Definitely not a place to go on a Leisure trip with a child. I just didn't feel comfortable there, we really should have went to Hilton.

i needed a place to stay for a few hrs (6) w my dogs after driving 11.5 hrs. room was impressively clean with no odors (sensitive nose). bathroom was spotless and bedding was crisp and clean. hotel is 15 min from the interstate so added 30 min to drive time, (arrived 11:30 pm) and had 10 hr drive following day. no remote for tv and no shampoo in the bath, however no surcharge for pets and at $51 was a great deal. internet was fast and reliable. highly recommend

The staff were professional and helpful upon check-in. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast was enjoyable, with friendly staff. It was easy to find and close to everything we needed, including a great steakhouse where we ate supper. It also allowed easy access to the highway. I can’t think of anything I would improve on

Great small town. Slavic Restaurant was the best food ever! eEzbushka. The little Russian lady was so cute and she sure could cook. Nice collection of antique stores on the main street with one store in particular that had vintage clothes and 4 floors of fun.

I was looking for spaghetti & I traveled twice to Folzoli’s twice because it said the drive threw was open if you ordered on line (sign by the drive way) I couldn’t reach them by phone because it said the mailbox wasn’t set up. I tried to order on line & couldn’t. I knocked on the drive up window & a man was on a ladder working in there. He said they weren’t open because they were putting in a new drive threw😩 I told him they shouldn’t have a sign out in front saying they were open!! Ended up going to a different one something like Mazzoli’s. I had to wait for my food in my vehicle for after a half hour & when I got back to my motel, the potions we more a child’s size. I gave mine to my husband. Not much for almost $20! The traffic was horrible also

There was nothing to our stay we found agreeable other than checking out to get a different hotel. We will never stay at this hotel again. The staff was extremely rude. The front desk man downgraded my reservation after upgrading the woman in front of me checking in. Then told me he had no rooms available matching my reservation, and couldn't change anything because I'd booked the room online. The room was dirty. The beds were tiny. The room was tiny. The entire hotel looks dirty and dingy and needs cleaned or renovated.

Excellent location in the center of Sedalia Missouri within walking distance of many places. The hotel staff was friendly and more than efficient. The hotel glows with early nineteenth century beauty and charm. An adventure to an earlier time! The on location restaurant and bar are exceptional. Great stay with fantastic food to boot.
