Every aspect of the Olympic Lodge exceeded our expectations, from communications beforehand, to the excellent staff, beauty of the. gathering area, the spectacular view of the golf course behind, and the spaciousness and comfort of the room. Location was excellent to get on the ferry, and restaurant recommendations were perfect. We are planning on staying here again next year.

Everyone was very friendly. We didn't realize but a healthy breakfast was included. After checking out they kept our backpacks secure so we could go bike riding. The facilities were clean and it was very quiet.

We were only there two evenings, but were unhappy with both restaurants that we chose for dinner. They were identified as the best or better ones in town. However, we did not enjoy it. We really would’ve enjoyed some good seafood. Decision to stay there was only to see high Ridge in the Olympics and it was fantastic.

Although we were only there for 1 night as we moved on to Vancouver Island the following day, Port Angeles seemed to have the quaintness of a small town, but with plenty of facilities. Obviously the proximity to Olympic NP & ferry services are the main plusses.

Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas...
Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas you would like to visit. Many places are closed at the beginning of the week. Cruise ship comes in and that makes restaurants really busy at dinner time. Plan ahead if you want to eat somewhere nice. Kokopelli Grill was nice and food was good but getting a seat took awhile. Some people couldn’t be seated. Try to get the shuttle that goes to Hurricane Ridge then you can go anytime. If you are a car, you’ll have to get up there early.

Stayed in Port Angeles because it was so close to Hurricane Ridge in the national Park. Had dinner at Joshua's restaurant next to the Super 8. The pictures hanging on the walls of the restaurant are good enough to be in an art gallery--very impressed!

I'm weird because I love clouds and rain, and I hate heat. P.A.has my ideal climate.
The town is just the right mix of city and suburbs. The houses and neighborhoods are all so cute and wonderful. I am seriously considering moving there.
Best restaurant: New Day Eatery
Best american breakfast: Chestnut Cottage
Very clean, well-appointed motel with good location in Port Angeles, WA. The owners were very friendly and willing to do anything to make our stay enjoyable. It's an older building, but with clean bathrooms, comfortable beds. Our room had some nice amenities (full-size fridge, kitchenette) that we wished could have taken advantage of with a longer stay. No A/C, but rooms were still very comfortable on the hottest day of the year with some fans. Would definitely stay here again.
The location was great for accessing port Angeles, just a short walk (about 10-15mins) or a quick drive in. The reception staff were nice when I checked in and check out was quick as I could just leave my key in a drop box. The room was fine and the shower was hot and high pressure. Just what I needed to go on some great hikes in the national park! It's a little basic but value for money is great.
Was only room available in Port Angeles. While room was fairly clean, SERIOUS need of updates and repairs etc. Cracks in ceiling (possibly some poorly repaired leaks), painted over grafitti in bath room, dresser drawer broken, 'squishy' carpet, etc.. Old bed spread with no blankets available in room. Noisy outside and not a great area of Port Angeles it appeared.
I stayed here because I was going home to Victoria. It was a quick drive to the Port Angeles ferry terminal and worth it! It felt very cozy. Everything that you would need for a comfortable stay was there. John checked me in and was very friendly. I would have loved to stay longer to have more time to explore the beautiful area of the Olympic National Park.
The bed was very comfortable and the room, in general, was very well appointed and attractive. Breakfast was porridge, toast, cereal and fresh waffles and was satisfying. Staff is friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is located just near the main highway, we didn't hear any traffic and slept undisturbed.
New management took an old lodge and made it a destination of its own. Beautiful sitting area with three story windows overlooking golf course and outdoor pool/hot tub area. Just off highway 101 with easy access to downtown Port Angeles. Homemade cookies and scones from kitchen staff a nice touch.
Although the motel is very basic, the location is good for visiting the Olympic National Park. The rooms are clean and functional, seems they have been recently renovated. Port Angeles is a nice town. There is a good Diner across the street for breakfast.
It was easy to get around Port Angeles from there. Close enough to the ferry. The room was very clean and the bed adequate. The fridge actually had a freezer! The shower was fine, as were the towels.
The hotel is very centrally located for activities in Port Angeles and an easy drive to various spots in Olympic National Park. A no-frills room but comfortable and spacious. Ample parking on site.
Staff was friendly and the check in process was easy. This was the cheaper of the hotels available. It was conveniently located. There really wasn't a better option in this town.
Super friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, excellent value. It took a minute for the fridge when cold but it was the best freezer I’ve ever had in a hotel room.
