This hotel was so nicely modern and clean. Location was great and staff was super friendly. We have stayed in other suite hotels with our family, and this one was the largest suite we've experienced without spending a fortune. The rooms would be great to accommodate a family with kids. Also a great, comfortable stay for business or leisure.

I was not informed that there would be no maid or towel service. The room was only stocked with 2 bath towels, no shampoo or hand lotion. I found an extra $10.00 charge on my credit card. I called the hotel for an explanation, it was a resort fee and told it was to cover the continental breakfast which was advertised on there site as FREE and gym and pool fee. I told them I would not pay it, after some discussion, they said they would remove the charge. I am waiting for that to happen. This used to be a good hotel at a fair price. I won't stay again

The Capitol building was nice and the surrounding grounds...
The Capitol building was nice and the surrounding grounds lovely for a stroll. There were statues on most corners - would've been nice to know who they all were - only a few had plaques. Mass at St Peter and Paul's was good - nice priest at 5pm Saturday. "Mad Mary's" was great for dinner. The downtown was pleasant for an evening (hot) stroll

We loved the city!
We loved the city! Loved the Native American Museum, one of the best we've visited! People very friendly. Great airport. We spent quite a bit of time just driving through the community and found it beautiful, clean and orderly. Especially enjoyed walking around the state capitol building and were quite taken by the sculptures of prominent citizens, etc. If it wasn't for the weather, (we live in a desert climate), I could imagine living here. Zestos!! Donut Shop! Especially the island park - beautiful!! We ate at restaurants outside Pierre. We are a retired couple.

Pierre was just an ok place.
Pierre was just an ok place. It was about 3 hours to Mount Rushmore and just under 2 hours to the Bad Lands. There was not much to do in Pierre and not too many actual restaurants to sit at. Only 1 restaurant for a sit down breakfast that was not fast food. We were there for a wedding otherwise we would not have stayed there.

I love how this is the state capital of South Dakota but...
I love how this is the state capital of South Dakota but it's not a huge metropolis!! Beautiful scenery with the Missouri river running through it, just a nice stop to stay on the way to Black Hills or Yellowstone.
Very pleasant stay in the lovely city of Pierre. Conveniently located on the main road into the city but close to the Capitol, and other city centre sights. Check in was smooth, rooms clean and comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful (especially Mit, who went of his way to help identify an annoying, constant droning noise in our room).
Location was good and staff was friendly. The front desk staff was able to move my friend to a more accommodating room. The hotel is under renovation and has made updates and improvements in some areas but needs to do much more.
my stay was extended due to personal problems and the staff was more than accommodating. helpful and incredibly friendly!!! will recommend country inn for a pleasant place to stay. and will be coming back for my next hotel stay.
I can't comment much on the hotel because I only slept here but the room and hallways were very clean and all staff I came into contact with were super! The main lobby has a calm vibe and the hot water ran for a very long time.
We had car problems and had to stay a night in Fort Piere. This hotel came up on booking and it was in our price range.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with everything.
The location of the hotel was ok as it was on the main highway through town. The heater in the room work well and that was about all I can really say was decent.
