The Niantic Inn, hotel in Niantic

Location, Location, Location! This property is across the street from "The Hole in the Wall Beach" and Niantic's Boardwalk, one of the longest boardwalks in CT over 1 mile long.

We had a room with a small kitchenette, which was really useful on the first night as we got stuck in traffic and were able to pick up soup and bread on the way and prepare a simple supper (be warned, restaurants close at 8-9pm in Niantic). The room was spacious (for a family of four) and clean, very comfortable beds and wide windows. It overlooked a carpark but we didn't have expectations of a sea view! There was a welcome tray out for us, and since we were late arriving the concierge had also added a bag with granola bars and crisps for us, which was thoughtful. We were out of season (April) so it was quiet – maybe only a 5th occupied?

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Waterford / Mystic, hotel in Niantic

This Waterford hotel is off Interstate 95 and is adjacent to the New London Mall Shopping Center. The hotel features an indoor pool and a flat-screen TV in every room.

Breakfast was very good, ample and with many options. It was easy to come in and self-serve, and we were able to take out a breakfast sandwich for my daughter who slept late. The room was much bigger than I would have expected (a plus), faced a quiet backyard of nature rather than the highway (a plus!), and we slept well.

    Room was extremely clean.

Room was extremely clean. Bakery just a few steps away that opened early (5AM) and also served coffee, etc was a nice plus. Room fairly priced and appreciated no extra resort fees like many accommodations now a days.

They gave me a room for handicapped, even though I booked a Double, but they gave me a small twin bed. It was dark and depressing, with the bathroom with no counter space and metal handles like a torture room. I had booked a regular room, but they have me the room they couldn't sell. I asked to be moved to another room, but they told me they were fully booked. Their was no internet services, I called tech support, but they were closed. The manager was super rude and I even made a video of how he was talking to me. NEVER AGAIN!!

Its a small beach town with a nice main street, offering a few restaurants and shops and public beaches right off the main road. Its a great location for families with little kids who don't want alot of large crowds and hard to access or expensive beaches

The Town of Niantic was warm, friendly and easy to get around in. Our B&B was located on the Harbor with the beautiful sight of the river and the docked boats. We had wonderful dinners at The Black Sheep and Dev's on Main. Our B&B, The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina was locateded just a short walk from the town's businesses and restaurants. The Inn had lovely grounds with plenty of places to gather, talk with friends and other guests and the staff. Everyone was very friendly. While in Niantic, we ventured to the Gillette Castle State Park and the Essex Steam Train and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Can't wait to return and see what else is nearby.

Niantic is a quaint waterfront town on the Connecticut shoreline. There are a few great food options if you're into healthier fare, but the mainstay was pizza and fried fish...which looked really amazing! (but sadly aren't on my list of options right now) It was less 'beachy' than I'd imagined but definitely had a charm of it's own that I would return for.

Niantic is a quaint town that has easy access to many of the beaches in the area. Dinner was great at the Hibachi Grill/Sushi and pizza wonderful at Lilliana's. Traffic patterns and lights are a little funky while driving around but overall ok to get around. We visited Ocean Park Beach which was great, not over crowded and the pool is amazing. Just wish it had an actual boardwalk. Not many food selection besides the ice cream spot and a small cafe with not many options.

We come to Niantic annually from New York. The Niantic Inn is a favorite for us, as it is conveniently located and reasonably priced. This stay was even better than the last - our room was updated and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Carlos and Stacy went above and beyond (it was also my birthday); their warm welcome and thoughtfulness will not be forgotten. Thank you again!

The complimentary pontoon boat ride on the Niantic River was a real bonus. Relaxing and informational. Captain Nick was friendly and knowledgeable. The office staff and breakfast server staff were very welcoming and incredibly friendly. Our group wished we had booked more time at this location, it was so wonderful!

The location isn’t bad but there’s a lot of construction in the area. The rate wasn’t bad for a weekend. Tons of stuff to do and really good eats. The staff tried their hardest with what they had. They let me check in 30 minutes early which I was exhausted from travel so that was cool.

The breakfast menu was delightful , all you can eat of your choice. One suggestion the hotel should consider to change the menu after two or three days, anyways no complaints for a free breakfast, i was satisfied.
