A Millionaire's playground, Miami Beach is all about sun, sea and sand. Popular as a spring break destination, its miles of pristine sands shelve gently into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.
Lining the beach are tall palm trees and the promenade, famous for the beautiful people that go rollerblading by. Add to this a warm, subtropical climate and you can see why many celebrities have chosen to set up home in Miami Beach.
You might even spot some of them shopping in the designer boutiques along Lincoln Road. And if your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far, there’s still a great range of shops with more moderate prices, including Aventura Mall and CocoWalk.

Comprising a series of islands just across Biscayne Bay from Miami (the route you take from Miami Airport), this city has a heavy Latin American influence, which is evident in the cuisine and fantastic nightlife. Whether you choose the Miami Beach accommodation in the North Beach, Mid Beach or South Beach areas, a Cuba Libre - rum and coke - is never far away.
The traffic is insane! We enjoyed our time in my Miami for a conference but the commute was so long. The weather and hospitality was so nice. The views of the ocean was breath taking creating a calmness in our soul. Thank you Miami for bringing beauty and rest in this wacko-doodle world of ours. Bev T

I thought Miami Beach would be more "Beachy" but we found the beach itself a bit boring. So, we turned to the city for fun, and we found many great places to eat and hang out. The free trolley service made it easy to explore North, South, and all between. This is a great place for a few days, a bit unique from other places.

Excellent stay.
Excellent stay. The room/apartment is spacious and has all the necessary amenities required for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect. Just be aware that it is on top of Bar Palace. For us it was not an issue, it was a plus. Roof top pool access is also a must. Perfect hotel/apartments for a stay full of activities. It is not for relaxation. You should know that if booking any stay at Ocean Drive. Thank you.

Too much traffic.
Too much traffic. Streets blocked all around due to murders during spring break. Financial disparity overwhelming. Yachts and mansions yet the working class can't pay their bills or obtain good jobs.

Lovely beach and clean and not too busy over Easter weekend.
Lovely beach and clean and not too busy over Easter weekend. Fun to watch the pelicans dive bombing for food. There was a shelf so not great for swimming that particular weekend. Left our bag and towels to swim and took all of 20 seconds for an opportunistic person to start scoping our stuff - beware of thieves (luckily I saw and ran back to our bag and towels) and try to take nothing of value or no bags to the beach at all. Despite the police presence, there appear to be opportunists about.

Best possible location for Miami Beach in the Art Decor area
Comes to life in the evenings
The in-house restaurant is a seafood restaurant, pricey but worth its cost.
Plenty of other restaurants at 10 minutes walking
The multilevel car park 1 block away costs £20 /day but 5 minutes walking to the hotel
Julio in the front desk is always helpful and so is the Maître d'hôtel.
In short - the hotel to book in Miami if you are up and around during the daytime and wish to soak in the vibrant atmosphere in the nighttime.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 days to celebrate our babymoon. Hotel pics look exactly how you see it on the website. Hotel is very clean, we were greeted each time we entered the hotel. Excellent location in South Beach. The beach is easy walking steps from hotel and easy access to numerous restaurants. The bed was comfortable.
The restaurant next door we ate one day for breakfast and it was delicious. The French toast was amazing.
Plenty of street parking and parking garages nearby.
The location is perfect for exploring South Beach and Miami overall. Many stores, restaurants, bars, the beach is super close.
The staff was very helpful, we were welcomed with a complementary Mojito drink which was a very nice touch.
The breakfast is very good and you can enjoy it next to the lovely pool. The wi-fi was good as well, I had to work a bit and holding video calls was not a challenge at all.
The room was clean.
The hotel has its place on the beach which was super convenient.
It's a super pretty boutique style hotel in South Beach. We loved the location as it was our second location in Miami beach. First we stayed a bit more to the north where we were more in the middle of the action and then we moved to this hotel which is in a more quiet area of south beach. The mix was perfect for us.
Very pretty lobby with complementary water and good coffee in the morning. Really nice outside sitting area.
Staff was friendly and helpful too.
The hostel was great for 4 people and it had enough space to sit in the room and chat. Beds were okay. Bathroom was okay. The lobby of the hotel and garden were great for chatting. The location of the hostel was close to the beach. You can go to South Beach by walking, it will take some time to go there but the coast line is great. And the room cleaning was great. In addition there is a 7/24 open subway near the hostel so it can be helpful for long times.
This is a comfortable hotel with adequate communal space in a great location. This is a historic property in the heart of South Beach on Ocean drive. It was superb value for money. The staff try hard to sort out issues. We had a lovely spacious room which had all the necessary extras - TV, Fridge, Coffee making facilities etc. 2 bottles of water were provided daily and the breakfast was a typical US breakfast.
Location of room with balcony facing sunny south. Breakfast venue on sunny terrace next to main pool. 6th floor sunny adult only pool with nice lounges around it. 2 bathrooms in our room. Wonderful bike and walking path right outside hotel. Wonderful beach with free lounges and umbrellas right outside hotel. Readily available "bar service" on beach, at main pool, and at 6th floor pool.
Good location, walking distance to cafés and nice residential neighbourhood. it was a great alternative stay to the typical Miami beach (South beach) vibe. We really liked the beach that was just 15min walk away. it was so quiet and tranquil. Good amenities at the hotel included in the resort fee (ex: kayak rental, beach shuttle). Nice pool at the rooftop.
The hotel is located in a quiet, pleasant and safe area. You can walk to the main points of interest in South Beach. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The best value is the hotel staff: very friendly and always willing to help with any need we had. I want to highlight Victor (valet parking service) for his professionalism and friendliness.
The room with balcony was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is close to the beach and South Pointe Park. There are several good restaurants at walking distance. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Prime Hotel.
Location is amazing, one block away from the Ocean Drive and the beach. Collins Avenue is a great spot. You can walk everywhere in South Beach from the hotel. Beach is 5 minutes away. There are restaurants around.
Location, right on the beach. Facilities of the Hotel in general (swimming pool, beach service). Great that we got an upgrade for beach front apartment. Great balcony and view, the best of the room.
The size of the room compared to other hotels on Ocean Drive. It also included a full size refrigerator and microwave in my particular room which is another rare amenity for a South Beach hotel.
Simple yet clean rooms. Staff are nice. The pool area is lovely. The hotel is in a great location in our opinion as you don't get all the noise/chaos from the main streets in south miami beach.
Very good located near South beach. They even have own sunbeds on the beach which you can use for free.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Hotel in general is nicely and modern furnished.
the location is right on the very front of south beach and the hotel has beach access. SLS is styled to be modern and quirky and I liked the overall decor and vibe the hotel has.
Amazing vintage/art deco historical hotel. We were upgraded to a huge grand suit. The pool garden was in our opinion the best on pool garden on South Beach.
