Hotel is in a good location and walkable to beach, restaurants, shopping and the pier. But hotel was run down and needs a major update & upgrade. Front desk was not responsive to report of noisy guests next to us.

Compared to the rest of Southern California, it was pleasant. I noticed the cleanliness, no graffiti, and the traffic flowed well. There was adequate choices of shopping and restaurants. Nice and pleasant over all. It wasn't infested with gangs like the rest of the state is. OOPS, I forgot, that is who runs that state!

The receptionist was friendly and efficient, it’s in a good prime position but Needs serious work to make it decent ( clean and in good repair)
Very dated and dirty - pool was closed by authorities only a week ago because of this
Sofa in the room was disgustingly dirty and the carpet was filthy
The hairdryer did work it only if you held a button in the whole time ( almost impossible to use) my husband had to press in the button while I dried my hair !
2 nights here was way too long
Being charged $30 to park was poor too and of our 6 week trip this is the only place we paid to park in the grounds

I can't stop bragging about the location of this property.
I can't stop bragging about the location of this property. It was within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Since the dog beach is only about 1.5 miles away the dogs had a great time meeting new friends. The price was reasonable and I would absolutely stay again and again and again!! Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

The thing about Huntington Beach is if you come on a Monday, it’s not as crowded as the weekend. On Tuesdays nights, they have a little festival for the locals with crafts paintings really amazing food and multiple entertainers an old classic rock band with too many more features to acknowledge, this is on Main Street I came to go surf the pier and it was the best. I also went to Costa Mesa to see the Chargers football training camp which is only 10 minutes away. Definitely recommend Huntington Beach everybody’s really nice.

booking.com’s agent contacted this hotel on my behalf because I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be charged a deposit we got confirmation, but upon arrival, the agent at the counter asked for deposit, and when I didn’t provide it, they would not rent the room three days later they charged my debit card and I’ve been chasing them for the past month to refund my money. They simply won’t do it give me the runaround every time I go to the facility or call on the phone.
1.)I have some mobility issues and they have rooms on the ground floor which are only separated from the parking lot by a sidewalk. This makes it much easier to deal with bags.
2.)The maids and front desk people were all very nice and helpful. They gave great suggestions for places to eat, etc.
3.)The mattress was great, one of the nicest, firm mattresses I've had in a motel or hotel.
4.)The mini frig was a fairly good sized one and the microwave newer.
The room was large and comfortable, and the beds were great. The location is excellent, just a 15-minute drive to Huntington Beach. There is a cute outdoor shopping mall across the street from the hotel, which is very convenient for eating and drinking. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of outdoor parking. Parking is 10 USD per night, which is cheap compared to other hotels/locations where you can pay 40 USD per night.
Original and eclectic decor, our room had a working record player and an album of beach favorite songs, a lunch box sat empty, but with a nighttime order the hotel will fill it for a picnic on the beach the next morning! Gas fire pits off the lobby and the staff offered a box with marshmellows smores! Happy hour every evening! It was an amazing stay!
Comfortable, attractive, quiet hotel. I have stayed in another hotel in the area that was too close to the freeway, and the traffic noise was inescapable. Not the case here! My room was on the lower floor, and looked out upon the pool and courtyard. Had my business not been a quick overnight, I would have liked to stay longer.
We went down for a concert and did not spend much time in the room. But when we were there, it was great. It was a fraction of the price as the other hotels in the area. For the price, it was excellent. The staff was very accommadating and very kind. Close walk to the beach and to a local coffee shop. Excellent for the price.
We liked that our son and his girlfriend were able to stay in the room for the night. We visit from Northern California, stayed at this hotel couple months ago, ocean view which was amazing!! It was a perfect room for family visit. Room is spacious, clean, staff friendly with a view of Huntington Beach! It was beautiful
This hotel is really cute. The room was very clean. The stairway could use a new coat of paint. Great area, close to beach, restaurants, shopping etc. Will stay again for these prices.
The location and price were great. Room was clean and had everything we needed. I'd come back if I was ever in Huntington Beach again. We attended our granddaughter's graduation.
Location for Beach, Pier & Main Street was excellent. Room size met our needs, was clean & tidy. The view from the communal deck of The Sunset over the ocean was awesome.
Location. Right across from Huntington Beach. 0.4 walk to Main Street and Pier. Housekeeping staff friendly. Room size was nice, condition needs to be improved.
Great views, helpful staff, the room was very clean and bright, definitely felt comfortable like we were at home except we were walking distance to the beach.
