We loved everything. The balcony, the comfortable interior, the location, and the generosity of the hosts who provide everything you need to cook and have a log fire and barbecue. Iy was spacious for 6 people. Cosy and warm. Simply amazing! The best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. Just wish we had booked for longer.

The town is some 25-30 minutes from the Rush Creek resort where we stayed. We only drove through Groveland, it seemed to have a lovely one block downtown with BBs, restaurants, and a few other stores. On the road to Yosemite from San Francisco through Manteca, Groveland is the most picturesque little town.

Unexpectedly charming town with way more facilities then we had imagined. The local saloon is awesome, so is the grocery store. We didn't really have time to explore the other options (as we were there to visit Yosemite) but there were plenty more interesting eating/drinking options around.

I wanted a more plush room. This one is adequate but the pillows were too hard and the bedding too thin for winter. Also the bed itself was not plush. It’s not the fault of Westgate. I tried to book at another more plush hotel but I was told there were no more rooms. Come to find out there were no more rooms at the price Booking.com got to offer. Groveland is a wonderful place to stay. About 30 min to park entrance. Great grocery store, restaurants, local bar etc. Main Street very historic looking. The vibe is unique and very cozy, specially around the game room and the communal area. It is worthy even spending a full day at the hotel if you have time. Celeste is a very nice person and takes care of the reception at the night. She was very helpful and attentive to us. She cooks the most amazing breakfast for you delivered to your room. Only half an hour to the west gate of Yosemite in a quaint little town Groveland with cute little shops and restaurants. Make sure you try the little home made pizza place nearby. Would stay here again when I return to the area. By the way, she has only 5 rooms and always occupied so make sure to book early.
