This place was great!! Clean, quiet, and good breakfast 😋. Scott at the front desk was awesome. I forgot my pillow, and he went out of his way to get it mailed back to me. Great place to stay. This was our 2nd time, and I will definitely be back

Nothing bad to say about the area! So much to see and do.

Nothing bad to say about the area! So much to see and do. If you love freighters and shipping watching this is the place to come. Go to Rotary Park, grab a burger from Clyde's and watch the ships come and go up close. If you're feeling adventurous, hop aboard the car ferry to Sugar Island drive around and explore the remote island. All the comforts of home but in a peaceful setting. I could see ourselves living here.

Convenient to the Soo Locks and other things of interest.

Convenient to the Soo Locks and other things of interest. However, this is obviously a very dated hotel with dated furniture, and an oblivious attempt to "freshen up" the rooms with a sloppily applied coat of paint. The carpet was disgusting with stains. I didn't even want to walk on it with my bare feet. I did like the new shower/tub. I though that was nice. The free included breakfast was a "sack lunch", not impressed.

Town kind of run down, but they are trying to fix it up somewhat. People working local businesses seem disenchanted and kind of reflect the surrounding area. Economy probably a factor. Not rude people by any means just seem like they would prefer to be anywhere but there.
