When I arrived to take a shower, there was no water pressure and there was no soap in the soap dispenser. The telephone did not work, and they were very short staffed, so Housekeeping couldn’t even come in to the room until late in the evening.

I was only there for the NHRA drag racing at the Gainesville track so didn't have time to see anything of Gainesville. But the Red Roof was very convenient for Gainesville Raceway, only 15 miles away so I would definitely return

Getting around Gainesville is very easy.
Getting around Gainesville is very easy. There's lots to do there. We visited the Butterfly Exhibit but did not have enough time to see the Museum of Natural History or the Art Museum. No lack of dining options. We chose to dine at Carabbas and both the service and food didn't disappoint. Lots of places to shop. With the University of Florida located there, it provided for a very youthful environment which we totally enjoyed. This is a town worthy of a visit.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. On Archer Rd and around the I75 exit, there was every store/resturant you could imagine. Gainesville is definitely a college town. Shands Hospital is wonderful and very conveniently located.

Loved university of FL! We went for a college tour.
Loved university of FL! We went for a college tour. While our walking tour was cancelled due to rain, the students did an excellent job speaking and telling us about the highlights of the school. We were lucky to have spent time walking around the day before. It’s a beautiful school. Very impressed. Also….Sweet Pete’s candy shop was awesome!! So much fun to walk through a 3 story candy shop! Beautifully decorated for fall/Halloween! Yummy too! 😍

Well Gainesville around UF is very much a college town and a bit run down. Away from the University it had several nice looking neigborhoods but without UF, Gainsville would not have much going for it.
It was located very close to the Dental School at FU which is where we wanted to be. It was near many good Restaurants and shopping. The hotel had a very nice and comfortable breakfast area with a variety of food to select from. There was 24 hour coffee and tea available. The staff were all very friendly and always smiling. Our room was very nice and spacious. The towels seemed new and were good quality. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
I loved the pillows😃, the staff were very friendly, it was a nice hotel, clean and comfortable, my kids decided not to swim, the pool was a pretty good size, I think it’s location was open to the back parking lot so they felt uncomfortable. It’s not really a hotel for kids , but nice and clean for when you just want to enjoy your time exploring Gainesville and then have a safe, comfortable hotel to come back too to sleep and then back on the go.
Old noisy A/C , very humid smelly room. There were some bugs on floor, dirty and old bathrooms, spider nets on windows, dirty and old carpet etc
Bathrooms need some remodeling too,p. Since this hotel allows dogs, which is great that is the reason we stayed here, we normally stay at Aloft in Gainesville, they also allow small dogs, this hotel should remove carpets in the rooms and leave just hard floors. It is cleaner and better.
The room was absolutely horrible. The carpet smells the moment you walk into the building right to my room. The floor was sticky and disgusting. TV and coffee machine does not work. Its dark and depressing. The fact they do not have housekeeping or charge for housekeeping only made it worse. I could not wait to get out. Easily the worst hotel I stayed in EVER and I have stayed in backpackers in South East Asia, this was by far worst
This was our second year to stay with Hotel Indigo and my husband and I traveled with our two boys ages 3 and 5. We stayed in the Suite where they had their own bed. We love the pool, surrounding restaurants, the beds are so comfortable, and the breakfast is top notch. This will be our first choice any time we travel through Gainesville!
Everything was great. You could walk to Cracker Barrel, Texas Roadhouse, WaWa and a Capital City Bank. These places surrounded this hotel and if I was the Owner or CEO of a Hotel Chain I would make sure My Hotels everywhere where built like this.
Find the favorite Food Chain for the local and have one built nearby.
The location and hotel itself can't be beat if one is planning a trip to the university area of Gainesville. It is right across from campus and is close to midtown and the stadium. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, and had all the amenities needed to make our family's stay there pleasant.
This hotels staff understands and execute hospitality services at its finest. I stayed 7 nights. My room was spotless. The pool was awesome and very clean. I travel to Gainesville Florida every month. The staff was the best I have experienced in years. Touche to all of them.
Hotel was very clean in good shape. Only slight complaint was the bench in the weight room was wobbly and I almost fell off while holding weights. The cafeteria staff was great as was the bartender. All staff was very attentive.
The location was just off the hwy. and the room was big enough to accommodate a family of 5(2 adults, 3 kids,13,10, and 10). It was relatively cheap compared to other nearby hotels. Continental breakfast fed 5 of us just fine.
Very nice place, clean, confortable and located in a very quiet neighborhood. Samuel was a great host, always available. I strongly recommend staying at Samuel's place.
