The Candlewood Suites offer more than just your average room with a few packs of coffee. It was a large spacious room like a studio apartment. There is a full kitchenette that even includes a dishwasher and cookware. This would be a great hotel for prolonged stays. Too bad we just had a quick one night stopover before heading off to our destination in Philadelphia.

Spent the afternoon bicycling around town to various sites ... Elmira College, Mark Twain Octagon Room, cemetery, Newtown Battlefield, etc. a good street map would have helped or Visitors Center. The room was spacious with lot of space for our small family. The bathroom was good, with hot water available immediately and a great water pressure. The indoor pool was great with adequate chairs and towels.
