Great little town.
Great little town. Looks like a great place to go fishing with the Lake near by the hotel. My son would love that on our next trip down to the area. I ate at Diamond's Family Restaurant and the food was so good. I highly recommend.

I was born and raised in Decatur, so it holds a special...
I was born and raised in Decatur, so it holds a special place for me. I still have lots of family in and around town. That being said, if you aren't visiting for work, a school/college reunion or visiting family as I do, there isn't a lot of tourist attraction. Decatur is doing its best to recover from lots of industry leaving, the pandemic and all it altered, and the entire change home shopping creates.MarkUnited States of America - 10Scored 10
I really enjoyed my stay in Decatur, especially the Mueller...
I really enjoyed my stay in Decatur, especially the Mueller museum and the Staley museum. Everyone I met in restaurants and other places were very friendly. There is a lot of history in Decatur and I will be coming back for another visit.

Decatur does not have a distinctive overall character, so...
Decatur does not have a distinctive overall character, so look for those gems, like Starships Billiards & The Enterprise Grill, where the menu is full of Star Trek references, or Diamond's Family Restaraunt, which is a favorite with the older set.

We enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay. Needed to leave a day early as person doing our horses chores has a personal problem. Plus heavy rain on Friday evening had caused flooding in our area. WE were charged for a night we did not stay by Booking, July 6,20019. Please check with hotel. If credit card was paid back for that night would be nice.
