Room & general location ambiance was hands down very enjoyable! Wish we could have stayed another night!
Close enough to other locations of interest -Walker river, Twin Lakes, Bridgeport and Bodie Ghost Town. The area has a roadside burger spot or two and an antique shop just down the road....Nice little shop with interesting treasures from yesteryear and some fabulous metal sculptures in the front parking lot area.

Coleville is a tiny little place which was perfectly located for the purpose of our trip, arriving there via the Monitor Pass and continuing the next day over the Sonora Pass, both of them very scenic.

Meadowcliff Lodge is a good place to stay for one or more...
Meadowcliff Lodge is a good place to stay for one or more days. There is a very nice pool for lots of fun, along with horseshoe pits, volleyball area and swings. You have your choice of Queen rooms with or without a kitchen or RV cite. Reasonable rates. It is owned and ran by KOA now. The only problem we had was the construction noise but that was just a couple days. We were unhappy the restaurant was closed. Close by the town of Walker has four places to get great food. Then there is Lake Topaz with a store, gas station, motel and a Casino that is less than 30 minutes north on Hwy 395. Then if you go a bit more north there is Gardnerville/Minden that has everything, even Walmart.
Beautiful physical setting, and a large, lovely and thoughtfully designed room. We knew there would be no restaurants or grocery stores nearby, so had brought our own supplies for dinner. Nice bathroom, with grab bars around shower and toilet area, as well as a drop down bench in tub/shower. Bed very comfortable. We only had one night, but both agreed it was the favorite stay of our road trip.
We liked the sizeable room, parking outside our room, the swimmjng pool and the rocks behind our room. It is also in a good location between Walker, Coleville and Topaz. It's in an area of beautiful countryside.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Very good hotel, great bed and bedroom, staff mainly the owner is so kind, made our stay even better with restaurant tips around the area. Location was perfect for who left Yosemite and it is going to Lake Tahoe. Wi-Fi very good signal.
We loved the location up near the cliffs. The cliffs are lit up at night which was really beautiful. Very peaceful. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Large well kept older room that opened onto a large grassy expanse with a nice view of the cliffs and valley. Very well kept KOA campground and hotel property.
