IT IS A VERY SHORT DISTANCE FOR INDIANA UNIVERSITY.
IT IS A VERY SHORT DISTANCE FOR INDIANA UNIVERSITY. THE DOWNTOWN AREA WAS CUTE WITH MANY SMALL SHOPS. THE B-LINE TRAIL IS VERY CLOSE, A GREAT PLACE TO WALK AND I AM SURE ON THE WEEKENDS THERE WOULD BE VENDORS. MANY DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS TO DINE, SHOPPING, AND GREAT PARKS CLOSE.

Bloomington has it all.
Bloomington has it all. There are great parks and golf courses nearby. Tons of activity on campus for travelers and sports enthusiasts. Awesome architecture. The city is charming and gives small town vibes, but also has the cultural diversity of a big city. The bars and restaurants are top notch, from cozy dive, to fine dining. Shopping is great as well, with retail and chains stores to upscale boutiques and handmade. There is something for everyone here.

We've visited Bloomington several times since leaving, but haven't lived here for more than half a century. Not many old folks will come back to visit after that time and say "Hey, this place was wonderful back then--and it's even better now."

The Uptown Cafe' was a highlight-We had the Crawfish Etouffe' and the Seafood gumbo, they were amazing! Loved all the architecture of the city-old and new. Drive around and love the scenery-visit the Bill Monroe museum-it's a Mecca for anyone who loves Bluegrass or Country music. Costumes from Dolly Parton, Rhonda Vincent, Minnie pearl, and so many more. Visit the Bean Blossom bridge-built in 1800's. Brown County state park is gorgeous! Being there in April it was quiet, and so peaceful.

The rooms are typical.
The rooms are typical. The hotel is nice and is in a good location if you need to be downtown. It isn't very far from campus either. There is nothing special about this hotel. It is a Hyatt. The only complaint I really have was the pool. We stayed New Year's eve night. The pool was freezing cold! It's winter. The room should have been extremely warm and the water very warm. It wasn't and in fact it was COLD!
Clean, well appointed cabins. Small space but good enough for a family with two pre-teen kids. Nice deck with views into the woods - particularly beautiful in the fall. Private fire-pit and picnic tables. First things the kids said was "no tv?!" We consider that a positive. Communication from the owners was excellent. If you are open to a cabin experience in an RV park not too far from Bloomington this is a good choice. We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel needs updating and a thorough cleaning. Great breakfast and staff friendly. No vending and snack corner out of diet soda... diabetic needs sugarless options. Mattress too firm and carpet filthy. No hot water for shower but they took $50 off room.
I paid for the room on booking.com but the guest was not allowed without paying once again for the room. Have spoken to Robert at the hotel today and he has said he will look into it, but it was not a pleasant experience at all
We were visiting our IU Grad student. It was also Fathers Day weekend. The location was amazing. We enjoyed the roof-top area. We will be staying again I the next year. One of my favorite places to stay in Bloomington.
The guy that checked me in was great, the little carts are cute but hard to use. The breakfast was good and the coffee station was well maintained. The hotel smelled really good and the beds were comfortable.
Room was clean, comfortable, and a great value. Great little gem close to Indiana University sports facilities. I hate to put this out there because I want to keep the price and availability open for us!! :>
The location was very convenient to Indiana University which was the object of our visit. Breakfast was quite good and in line with other Hamptons we have stayed in.
Lovely spot! At the edge of town, with a beautiful rural setting. The well-maintained rooms were large, comfortable, and self-contained. Great for our larger group.
The location is quiet and convenient to visit IU via Bloomington downtown.
The house manager is quite excellent in managing and serving to her guests.
Thank you~
