It's a small town, friendly people, went out of their way to help. Nice rolling hills, with green trees and when in season loads of home grown vegetables. Good barbecue. Close to others locations, such as,Lubbock, Midland and Odessa.

If you have no transportation don’t stay in big spring no Lyft or Uber available and the one taxi co called Dependable Cab left us stranded at Walmart for three hours I had my 4 and 8 year old granddaughters with me and all due to dispatcher and not communicating with his driver.

It was the best route if you are returning to NM from Texas.
It was the best route if you are returning to NM from Texas. Highways were good and felt safe, unlike the 285South route from Carlsbad to Pecos.. No no no, don't go that way until they fix a bad stretch of highway that almost got me killed because the trucks own that stretch.

The city is super scary. So run down.
The city is super scary. So run down. Nothing looks safe at all. Took my toddler to the park and was so nervous I couldn’t even let her play for long. Toys were broken and graffiti all over the place. If it wasn’t for the camp put on by Howard college, I would never come back. Food was also super sketchy. I did LOVE taco villa though. It was so good and such a good price. Everything else made you feel very dirty.
The building looks old from the outside, but the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is large and clean. They even added a waffle machine. The staff is always so friendly. It is a pet friendly hotel with lots of room to walk the dogs. It is conveniently located near I-20 and Hwy 287.
The staff was amazing...very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They were probably the best hotel staff I've ever seen and I have stayed at a lot of hotels. They made us feel welcome and everything was very comfortable.
Best hotel breakfast since pre-pandemic days. Lots of non-meat options; lots of condiments for the waffles. Bathroom was nice. Room was very large. Separate seating area.
