The location of the Ocean Coast is perfect. You can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. The facility is fine although it is easy to hear other vacationers outside. On Saturday night the motel was fully booked and many people could be heard outside in the wee hours. Hey, when you are on vacation many people want to party. No problem although if you want more peace and quiet you might look elsewhere. There was a nice motel breakfast with good coffee in the morning. We would stay again since it is located close to the beach.

Thanks !!! See ya next time. In historic downtown, Cafe Karibo was OUTSTANDING and the BEST meal we had during our 4 day stay, hands-down. Ciao restaurant in historic downtown was a bit of a disappointment...way too LOUD inside...food was "ehhh"...staff/service was "ehhh"...probably won't go back there...ehhh. We loved the location and friendly staff. The shower floor wasn't clean enough for me, I wore rubber sandals for protection. The blind on the view window was broken so I was unable to open fully to see the ocean. The furniture was good, a little used but understandable. It's a great room to relax. The roof top seating was a big plus! Loved it! Very clean! Walking distance to Egan Creek, State park and ocean walk was perfect! Food was okay nearby but we liked the Salty Pelican more, plus the Western sunset is always a pleasure to see, only 2 miles from hotel.

Fernandina Beach is beautiful and the town is very interesting. It reminded me of a mini Savannah. There are great restaurants in all price ranges. The local history museum was perfect for a rainy day and the museum at American Beach was outstanding.

We loved it so much we ended up extending our trip a day! Really cute downtown with a lot of restaurants, coffee, shops, and etc. I don't think I've ever been somewhere with such friendly people! On top of that, the seafood was amazing as expected haha! The facility was right on the beach which was great. We had a “no frills” room with no microwave. It was upstairs with no elevator and the television was tiny with very few channels. The coffee pot was broken and the remote for the tv didn’t work most of the time. The room was clean however and in a great location.SSusanUnited States of America
