I was in Hsinchu due to some works so i did not plan to go to tourist spots much. Most of the time I was in the Science Parks, University and walk nearby my hotel. I stayed in the what local call the old street so there were mini night market and street foods, temples, one shopping mall. The Hscinchu train station (local train) and bus station were walking distance from the hotel. Mainly I used trains to travel to other cities from Hsinchu. The part of Hsinchu I stayed is a quiet laid back town.

The Hsinchu zoo is a nice place to spend the morning. It's small and compact but still worth a visit just to see the Bengal Tigers up close!
The God's temple in the middle of the city is an amazing experience although it is quite confusing to get to.

This township is full of nice Taiwanese street food and was good weather in December. You can engaged a local tour to bring you around which cost around NTD 8500 per day. With a group of 6 people, a small van is most convenient. Staying in the city or outskirt are different exposure. The seaview is magnificient!
The kids enjoyed Doraemon Science Park while the adults like to shop at the streets with nice and reasonable price clothing.
We had good food at Cheng Huang Miao.

It's not as busy as Taipei, but there is still so much to do. It's nice to walk around the city, looking at shops but also following the stream and underground path. It has a good atmosphere and very friendly people. Eighteen Peaks Mountain park is a wonderful place to visit which you could easily spend hours in. We stayed for 2 nights, but would have liked to spend 3-4 nights.
Beautiful hotel in an ideal location. Less than 10 min of walk to the main train station, surrounded by beautiful parks, museums, shops, restaurants, temples and more. Unique architecture with many unique details, for example 5 floors tall breakfast room with windows on the ceiling. Rooms are very quiet and clean. Everything was working perfect, the lights, fridge, WiFi, air-conditioning, etc. Easy and comfortable 24h check-in, super fast check-out. Thanks to three elevators, you never wait longer than few seconds to go up or down.
The location of this place is great. The concept of the hostel is unmet and truly great. Sadly it is very small. The bathrooms are tiny and as staff is hardly ever on side not continuously clean. I think it's a very good Hostel but too expensive for what are you getting - at least in comparison to other places in Taiwan. Would I still return? For sure! I just really liked the concept of the place.
Just a warning: if you have a snorer in the room like I did, the wooden box-beds will make it sound even louder. Bring earplugs!
Outstanding facilities for children of almost all ages. There is an entire underground section with separate attractions that I’ve never seen at such scale for a single hotel. it looks like an underground shopping mall, and it’s only for hotel guests (you need a hotel key to swipe in the area). The service was great, and the attitude of the entire staff was commendable and made us feel welcome at all times. Added points for a seamless, relaxing express check out with key drops on every floor.
I loved the spaciousness of the room I was in. Also, the people at the front desk were very nice; the lady even helped me book a train ticket when Taiwan Rail accidentally blocked my passport. Breakfast was a nice little buffet and helped me start my day. Less than a kilometer from the main TRA station, so that's great too.
The staff and location was really great 😃 The appearance and cleanliness of the hotel and the room is very good, and the room is comfortable. The air conditioning works well, and a room with a bathtub is always relaxing. It's a good value for the price. I would consider it again on another trip to Hsinchu.
The location was a little hard to find via Google Maps, however, the direction suggestions given by the hotel were greatly helpful in having Google Maps be more effective in providing proper directions.
The breakfast was also great! A good mix of eastern and western breakfast 'buffet' options.
The facilities & room were amazing. We were in a family room, it was spacious for my family of four. My kids 8&10 had room to play and it was extremely safe for them to independently roam around and play in the hotel facilities. The price is also extremely fair and I really enjoyed our stay.
The location was very great, room was very big which beyond my expectation. The staffs are all kind and always with smiles.
Inside the bathroom, there are many equipment that I have not seen in other hotel, the bathtub is quite large that can easily contain 2 people.
Breakfast was good for variety, not fancy, but delicious local fare and solid. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hot water shower is powerful, not merely a trickle. Housekeeping is discreet and respects your privacy, leaves you alone if requested.
The location is pretty good. Convenient for getting food and we're able to park our car safely in the parking lots of the baseball stadium. Hotel reimburse 100nt$ for the stay.
Free washer and dryer, only 10nt$ to get laundry detergent.
Comfort was great, first time ever I have slept perfectly in a hotel while travelling. Location was ideal for our purposes and easy walking from great resaurants and food stalls as well as local sightseeing points.
Location near station, beds are nice. Staff is nice, didn't spoke english but was no problem with the help of google translate. Parking is down the hotel. Car goes down with a car elevator to the parking garage.
