Good city view from the room if you pick the room of 5th or 6th floor, and balcony provided. There is almost no tuktuk in this city, but hotel will order one for you if you contact the receptionist and the price is very reasonable.

Ratchaburi is a very small town in a good location to expand...

Ratchaburi is a very small town in a good location to expand out to the West, South East and North. There is even a Robinson shopping mall with the usual branded restaurants. There are plenty of sights to see just around Ratchaburi within 5 to 15kms. Suan Phueng is the place to go visit and it's only 1.5 hours drive. You can also drive 1.5 hours to Kanchanaburi to see the Bridge over the river Kwai. Drive South East will take you to the coast and Cham AM beach highly recommended. My son loves it there and didn't want to leave. The highways are good but be careful of GPS directions mountain sights you need a 4 wheel drive.

There are so many interesting places to visit. I think I can stay for the whole week to cover this lovely province . The food is very delicious and cheap i.e. Ar Tee Kopee, Cook and Coff are highly recommended. Great place and good food.

You need your own mode of transportation.

You need your own mode of transportation. If you have that, then Ratchaburi is an adventure waiting to happen. There are multiple caves that are big and filled with Buddhas. There is a boutique stone park. There are great temples both modern and historic. There's good food. The air is clean. It's quiet. You can easily spend a few days here if you like traveling in a more local (less Chiang Mai touristy) Thailand.

For those with own transoort: 1.

For those with own transoort: 1. Khao Ngu Stone Park for its magnificent mountains and lake views. 2. Watch Nang Yai Shadow puppetry at Wat Khanon, every Saturday 0900h to 1000h, in an air-conditioned hall. 3. Watch the flight of millions of bats at Wat Khao Chong Pran in the evening. 4. Art lover can venture to Tao Hong Tai ceramics factory for interesting buys and lots of delectable areas for photo-shoots.
