It was a great place to stay and a great price considering it has a decent little pool. Very good buffet breakfast. Rooms were of a reasonable standard with all the usually amenities, air conditioning, TV, fridge, a kettle including water, coffee and tea.

Breakfast was fine, cooked fresh and with a menu choice. Excellent fruit choice (cherries, melon etc.), real coffee. The whole place was immaculately clean, tidy and quiet.

Very good budget hotel for the price. Right on the river with a nice deep pool. Owners were very nice and accommodating but spoke little to no English.

It was bigger than I thought it was. Many temples further up in the mountains were definitely places to add to your list.
I loved the views from the Mekong across to Laos, the markets in the town by the river, the night market by the station and of course all the temples were great to visit.
I stayed at the Park and Pool resort which had great service, rooms and a nice pool.

My husband and I stayed the night in Nong Khai on the way from Bangkok to Vientiane and we're glad we did. We took the day train because we wanted to see some of the countryside. We didn't have a plan for crossing the border and getting to Vientiane so we chose to stay over night in Nong Khai - just enough time before noon checkout the next day to have a leisurely dinner, walk along the river, and consult our hosts on the easiest way to get to Vientiane. That turned out to be a taxi to the bridge, a bus across the bridge and a taxi to our hotel in Vientiane. Couldn't have been easier.

Relaxed vibes.
Relaxed vibes. Several places serving great food and fun, busy energy on Walking Street when the market was on (with delicious food). Ease of access to Vientiane/Laos is great but it's worth staying in Nong Khai for a few days. It's also worth travelling a little further west along the Mekong for a very real experience of Mekong river life and villages.

Perfect tourist place with lots of interesting things to do.
Perfect tourist place with lots of interesting things to do. Quaint markets and river walks are highlights of our stay. We hired a car at Udon Thani airport and that was our big plus to explore things around Nongkhai. Some of the places are 30-50 km away so having your car is necessary.
Room is of a decent size and clean. The bed is low though. Staff is friendly and helpful but language barrier unless the owners are there.
It is near (about 8-10 minutes walk) the Nong Khai Walking Street along the Mekong river and the Saturday nite market street. U can also walk to Prajak Sillapakhom Alley (10-15 mins) for Dee Dee Pochana and Beyond Cafe .
To the bus station is about 10 mins by tuk tuk. 50 bath per person.
Breakfast is good. Western and local (porridge and noodles)
Very artistic and warm the Silsopa Hos
tel. Ten o'clock in the middle of the night, from Laos Vientiane entry gallery. This hotel is the most cost-effective and the highest and most environment within 20 kilometers. Other hotels are very expensive and far away. The owner's English is very good and quickly check in, bringing me back to the room to rest. The roommate is very high, and it will not give a little sound when you sleep at night, so that you can sleep peace of mind.
Was a quick stop before the visa run into Laos so did not spend a full day there. But I can say it was one of the better places I stayed in during my trip. I think if I did not have my hotel booked in Vientiane i would have gladly stayed there another night or 2. Owner was lovely. Room large and comfortable. Location was fab - just a short walk to the Mekong River promenade where you can find bars and restaurants. Regretted not staying around. Would happily return there!
The view of the Mekong from the terrace was amazing and the location on the waterfront gave access to all the riverside restaurants. The hotel was cozy and felt like it had a lot of personality compared to higher star hotels. It was a nice perk that you could step outside the room and end up on the riverside walkway or in the communal dining area.
Most comfortable bed i have slept on in Thailand. This is a great place if you have a vehicle. It is primarily a motel not a hotel. It is designed for people touring with a vehicle. It is about 3km from the town so if you have a car, bike a grab app or don't mind walking it will be great for you. Otherwise probably best to stay in town.
A very nice clean Hotel in the middle of Nong Kai. Just blocks from walking street that is open on the week end. Great breakfast. Bed was comfortable and the shower was first rate. The staff attended to our every needs. Only down side is its a bit pricey for Thailand.
Nice area of town although far from the river which is the main attraction for Nong Khai. It is very close to the border checkpoint though so for weary travelers its a great place to overnight before heading into Laos.
Wonderful rather new hotel, on the outskirts of the city. Very peaceful, the rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Small swimmingpool, pooltable, food and drinks, it has evsrything one needs !
A standard hotel with good buffet breakfast. It is in a good location for a group of us that travel by our own car, adequate parking space, not far from attractions, temples, river, cafe, restaurant.
Art filled hotel/hostel. Very homey. And cute. Probably the very best place to stay in Nong Khai. With airco and free coffee. Everything just lovely. Unique and excellent esthetics.
