Sukorn feels like an island that time forgot.

Sukorn feels like an island that time forgot. It’s fantastically quiet - you can struggle to find other tourists and the welcome reminded me of Thailand experiences 10+ years ago. It’s a great place to cycle - you can pretty see the island in a day and you’ll often be the only person on the road. Essentially it’s an island for the islanders, so you’ll see rubber being processed, fish and crops being dried at the side of the street, cows, goats and oxen in the fields, and coconuts being felled. Apart from a large area in front of the Andaman Beach resort, the beaches are not golden and sandy, but they are huge and quiet and wonderful for walking on, for seeing astonishing shells and for enjoying some peace and tranquility.
