1. Location was great - in front of pier so no need for additional transport. On the 'main street' with a number of food & shop options. And on the beach. 2. Room size was great. 3. Mattress & pillows we're very comfortable. 4. Enough food options for breakfast.

Ta-Lay Time KohMak, hotel in Ko Mak

Situated in Ko Mak, 3 km from Police Station, Ta-Lay Time KohMak features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Free WiFi and a tour desk are available.

They have the best sunrise/sunset on Koh Mak thanks to their unique location. The room itself is very modern, with mosquito nets on the windows and doors, so you can sleep with open windows to the sound of the sea. Comfortable bed, the receptionist lady is very helpful with a big smile. The restaurant is nice but we mostly had breakfast here. The AC worked great. There is no beach but we prefer visiting as many as we can anyway, so it was no problem. There were a few bugs in the room, but it was manageble.

The infraestructure is simply amazing but the costume care doesn’t correspond. It could easily be a 5 starts hotel if there was a proper reception and attention to client.

TK Beach -Paid for 2 rooms only given one that was half the price. No restaurant, in garden little night light,No offer of refund. There were dangerous dogs & sandflys daily bedroom bed bites & insects & bugs. Dirty hut cleaned once in 12 days. Met nobody at TK Beach. Saw no helper for my questions.Especially when bitten all over. Dogs tried twice to bite me on my bike. Found Ko Mak resort on my bike food very good & kind staff.Best to stay here.Sea views good too.

Nice quiet island but very expensive compared to other places in Thailand. There's only a couple roads easy to explore the whole island in one day. Just make sure to bring a lot of bug spray the sand flies and mosquitoes eat humans all the time- thai or foreigner- best resort hands is seavana

Really nice and chill island, it's laid back and a great place for a break but you can also do activities such as snorkeling and diving. There's not loads to do but it's exactly what we were looking for, a little island paradise. Plenty of restaurants but not many bars. A day trip to Koh Kham is an absolute must! "The Ball Cafe" and "Pak Pak Vegan" are great cafés. Try "M.A. Bistro" for upmarket dinner or "Khun Mam's Kitchen" for an authentic Thai meal.

Seeking a Thai escape that strays from the clichés of overcrowded and overhyped islands? Koh Mak is an undiscovered gem waiting to be explored. This island emerges as a paradisiacal retreat where time appears to stand still, offering a perfect balance of relaxation, exploration, and reconnection with what's essential. For three to four days, our family had the privilege of reveling in the tranquility and serenity that pervade Koh Mak. Each day brought its share of discoveries, from the whispering waves breaking on sandy shores to the verdant landscapes seemingly untouched by time or man. Just an hour's boat ride from Koh Chang, Koh Mak stands as an invitation to all those looking to immerse themselves in an authentic and preserved Thailand. The crystal-clear waters, secluded beaches, and warm hospitality of the locals make this island a charming alternative to the more well-known Koh Kood. In conclusion, our stay in Koh Mak was an enchanting interlude, a precious family memory where each shared moment will remain etched as an invitation to tranquility and natural beauty. For those in search of a unique experience in Thailand, Koh Mak is a stopover not to be missed.

Koh Mak , one of the few relaxed islands in Thailand, with relaxed i mean quiet, no nightlife, no disco noise, no harassment from people trying to sell you whatever. Its the place to switch of and recover. There is plenty of relatively quiet places to find , especially in low season you can be alone at some beaches for hours. Getting around is easy by motorcycle, the island is small and it is almost impossible to get lost. Good food is to be found in many locations, i can especially recommend Koh Mak Seafood,Sweet Cake, Table Tales and Food Art Hut.Or maybe you want to sit on a Bar on a pier a bit out in the sea? : Then check out Plue Pear Bar it is at Ao Pra Pier acessible trough Cococape Resort ( there might be an entrance fee for outside guests) Of course that is not everything there is, there is cheaper traditional places to be found as well as more expensive high end restaurants in the bigger resorts. Snorkeling and Diving is also very nice at Koh Mak, you should be there at the right season for good visibility tough.

Hidden Beach is in a secluded corner of the beach, and it is a tropical oasis. The biggest downside is there is no kitchen but Jake and the staff are very helpful in arranging delivery food and there are a few places to eat within 10 minutes walk. The bed and shower are both 5* hotel quality. The drinks are well made and well priced. Jake is very friendly and wants you to have a lovely stay. He’s happy to chat at the bar for hours or leave you alone to nap in a hammock. Hidden is an idyllic beach holiday.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Large, beautifully designed, private rooms right on the beach. Best beach on the island, clean, picturesque with great views of smaller islands. Great restaurant, delicious food at reasonable prices. Generous and tasty breakfast. Koh Mak also fun to explore on motorbikes with the family. We had been 10 years previous and it still has the same charm. Very chilled, quiet island. Often had beaches completely to ourselves, even at the resort (we went low season). Perfect stay!

Makathanee was a great place to stay at Koh Mak. We came directly to the pier from Koh Chang, got into the spacious bungalow quickly and enjoyed our time here with an amazing view to the ocean. Close by shops, restaurants and massages (walking distance only minutes). Hotel booked a snorkeling trip for us with only 6 guests which was great. Also nice private beach, also to go for longer walks in both directions. However, a scooter rental is helpful to see also other areas of the island.

Miss You Beach resort is located on a wonderful part of the island. Every sunset was beautiful over the water right in front of the resort. Dylan, the owner, was very kind and always ready to help. He was inviting and responded to every need I had whilst I stayed to make my visit comfortable. He even made me a lovely Nepalese dish and brought it to my room! I really enjoyed my stay of 3 weeks. I enjoyed being in a bungalow and really felt like I had my own space to relax over my stay.

Large resort with pleasant terraces, a restaurant and sea bar and a pool with 2 levels. Great views over the ocean. The corals around the resort (although hindered by a sea urchin plague) are actively being restored with the result that snorkeling is okay around the resort. Very good breakfast with a good choice range (although the coffee isnt great). Guests daily receive new towels and water bottles.

I loved the intentionality of the resort, of how it is designed in nature and sustainability is clearly important. I love how you could hear the birds in the morning, the flora and fauna in and around the property, and how even small things like electrical appliances being all plugged out before using them were purposeful! I liked all the different featured like the shala, the gym, and the pool.

Peaceful place, very relaxing atmosphere. Island vibes, not many people on the beach. Beach is clean and has nice chairs and swings. Free transfer pick up when we arrived to the island was nice. We liked happy hour cocktails and grill in the evening. All food we tried at the restaurant was good. Very good management give you 5 star personal care about all questions you have.

Lazy Day is a tranquil hotel in a pretty beach. We had a beach front room which has its own comfy beach loungers on the balcony so you can sit/lay in comfort overlooking the sea. The staff are so lovely and really friendly and will help you with anything. We hired a scooter to travel round the island, great fun.
